Dr Marques is a wonderful caring doctor she calls her patients and does a follow up after her visit even when she sees you she takes the time to explain what is going on the plan she has and treatment that you need she is awesome and she has a heart for her patients

I was billed for different office visits' copays after I had already paid them. Whenever a practice protocol had changed or I did not know the protocol, I was scolded by Dr. Marques. There had also been an issue with informed consent.

I relocated to FLorida several months ago so needed to find a new primary dr. Dr. Marquis was recommended by a neighbor. I found her to be extremely thorough and taking time to go over my past medical history, and current health. I was very pleased with her and decided to continue going to her, until I ran into problems with the staff. I needed refills on 2 prescriptions, and the dr. told the staff to fax them to my mail order pharmacy (Optum Rx). After 5 days I received a refill on only one prescription. I called Optum Rx and they said they only received a refill on one prescription. I called the doctor's office and told them, and they said they would resend it. When I called Optum Rx back 5 days later, they still hadn't received it. I called the dr's office back 3 times and left messages, nobody ever returned my call. I don't appreciate the rudeness of not returning calls, and I don't like having to leave messages and not having a real person to talk to when you call the… office. I will be looking for another doctor.

Dr. Marques 5 stars - phone system - 0 stars !! I really like Dr. Marques. She's very thorough and takes the time to listen to you. UNFORTUNATELY, her office has the worst phone system and staff. You either can't get through their phone system or they don't call back after leaving messages. Twice I finally had to drive to the office just to get a reply-- And when you complain to the office staff about not getting back to you or not getting through - they accuse YOU of looking for problems. I don't have to look far.. I waited for my prescription to be renewed at the pharmacy for 10 days ( with no pills) waiting for the doctor's office to respond to the 3 faxes the pharmacy sent ( 2 of which I was present for in the pharmacy when I questioned why my prescription wasn't there) I also tried to get through to their office while I was standing in the pharmacy. It was 2 PM - during office hours. One day after getting a new medication- I had , what I thought ,was a bad… reaction- could not get through to the office for hours -- my husband finally took me to the emergency room ( a $1700.00 bill) for something that could have been answered on the phone ( if only someone would have answered it). My Mastectomy shop left 3 messages with the office to have a prescription for my mastectomy bra sent to them - that was a month ago. They are still waiting. I finally went to a new doctor out of frustration. I will miss Dr. Marques - but not her staff or phone system. sorry.

It is nearly impossible to talk to a human when you phone, the phone tree takes forever to get through, don't often get response after leaving voice mail messages, difficulty getting prescription refills sent to correct pharmacy--if sent at all. Dr. Marques is fantastic and I don't want to find another doctor and I realize that the problem with the support staff is not that they don't want to help (they're all very nice people), but they appear to be stretched too far. There is an acknowledgement of problems with phone response, but the solution offered is no solution. The company who manages this practice must spend money on additional staff members--now! I recently had the need to visit a specialist (referred correctly by Dr. Marques) and the efficiency in that office is the polar opposite of Internal Medicine Associates, although the staff are probably of equal proficiency. Management makes all the difference.

Dr. Marques is a serious, quiet person, so if you're expecting entertainment, you'll be disappointed. However, she cares very much about the health needs of her patients, taking the time necessary to listen to them and asking about what else is going on that may affect their health. She stays abreast of latest studies, medicines and can answer questions about alternative treatments. I have great confidence in her. The challenge is with the office staff; although they are nice, friendly, professional women, it is very difficult to reach someone when phoning. You have to wait through a 2-minute greeting (I've timed it) before the opportunity to leave a message--and then you may or may not get a response sometime in the next week or two. As far as other comments about waiting too long--realize that Dr. Marques does take the time needed for each patient and be glad she makes someone else wait for you to be finished. I've found that if I ask for the first or last appointment of the day and… never on Monday or Friday, I don't usually have to wait a long time.
