More concerned about the money and proving herself right than about the patient!

I think the other reviews are accurate. She saw our teen and had her on an anti-depressant before getting to know her well enough. Our daughter disliked her, too. We found someone else who established a rapport with our daughter and actually helped her with her issues.

For 2.5 years of my childhood life..maybe I was just broke outta the box, but nothing.. not all the drugs they tossed into me helped. The restraints used on my in the quiet rooms.. none of it did any good but scar me eternally.

I agree with the previous comment. She stuck our son into a category and then wiped out the prescription pad. Bad medicine.

She probably does her homework re: drugs, but, at least for us, her bed-side manner made it an extremely unpleasant experience. She saw our child, and the sessions, it didn't feel like she was relating to us one person to another. It felt more like our son was a diagnosis not a person. Another way to put it was that she pathologizes everything; you feel like your child is in a laboratory getting diagnosed -- not in a person's office being understood and helped. She also seems to have this old-fashioned view of Dr. as superior -- comes across as very patronizing, and somewhat nervous about herself.
