Dr. Shaun Emanuel Laurie, MD

I'm not a patient. I work in pharmacy. Today I called Dr Laurie's office and spoke nurse Cynthia about a patient. At first it was fine while we were talking then all of sudden she got loud with me and said "I'm getting tired of this! I've already spoke with pharmacist about this! When I talked to her it sounded like I was wasting her time! So I tried to tell Cynthia I wasn't here when she talked to the pharmacist but she kept getting loud with me and I told her I not going to listen to her being rude to me so I said bye and hung up. Oh by the way while I was the phone with Cynthia before she got loud with me she was talking about another the patient with the other staff out loud about her tests that she needs to do before she can see the Dr. And then she tell her staff like you guys need to get it together! Over the years I been in pharmacy and calling dr offices and speaking to their staff have I ever have someone be so rude to me. I have heard that this nurse Cynthia is rude to… patients as well. I think she shares patients information with others. She makes fun of patients. I believed she has broken HIPAA. You might want to check into that if you are a patient at this office. I'm not sure how the other staff is but Cynthia is unprofessional. She is very disrespectful and does not earn her job title. There are many complaints on her but the Dr won't do anything and that seems like favoritism or something else. I usually don't let this kind of thing bother me when someone is rude but Cynthia as professional is horrible. How can she have this job and treat people the way she does.

He listened to your problems

I think Dr. Laurie is a very pleasant, well educated medical Dr. He has always shown concern for me as well as for my other family members during our time of illness or per/post illnesses. The main complaint I have is that the waiting time in his office to be seen is tooooooooooooo long and that it takes too long for referrals to other Dr. as well as toooo long for the prescriptions to be called into the pharmacy.

referred to Dr. Laurie by my friend. He did a lot of test and diagnosed me with a condition. staff spent time sending me to specialists. I am better now.

I feel sorry for Dr. Laurie because he does not pay attention of what the girls at the front desk are doing. For instance, he prescribe me to have some lab test and I asked them I want to go to QUEST LAB but they were insisting me to go to LABCORP which I do not like. To make them to change me to QUEST LAB I have to spent time calling them for the change and made me go to Dr. Laurie's office 3 times, for some reason one of the girls even told me if I go to QUEST I would be charged for their service. so I desisted in going to QUEST. To make sure about, I called my Health Insurance Company to find out and they told me to feel free to go to QUEST since this lab is covered by them. Still I am chocked why theIR insistence of sending me to LABCORP? Dr. Laurie might be loosing patients if he does not pay attention and try to give a better customer service to the people who visit him.

Although I am not a patient of Dr. Laurie I can tell you him nor his staff has his patients best interest in mind. And to top it off his right hand LPN Cynthia is the rudest medical personnel I have ever dealt with. That is only after I waited over a week with numerous voicemails to her and the Dr for a returned phone call regarding his patients meds and their understanding. They are rude and unprofessional and I highly recommend you go elsewhere if you need medical needs met. You will not get that there.

The primary concern in this practice is LPN who serve as the liaison between the Doctor and patients.

Dr. Laurie is an excellent doctor. Very professional and knowledgeable in the medical field and most particularly his area of medicine. Dr. Laurie is very passionate about the health of his patients and sees that they get the best in health care under his direction and administration.

I am not a patient of Dr. Laurie's, but I am a RN who had recent dealings with his LPN Cynthia. I contacted his office to assist a mutual patient who had grown frantic after leaving multiple messages on his LPNs voicemail with no response for several days. In fact I left a voicemail for the LPN and never heard back. When I finally got ahold of Cynthia she only reluctantly gave her name and sounded extremely annoyed that I was contacting her. I have never dealt with someone as unprofessional as she is. I do do not think she has the patients best interest at heart and apparently found it appropriate to yell and attempt to start an argument with me. In many Physicians offices the nurses are the cornerstome of the practice and serve as advocates for the patients. After my dealings with Cynthia I know Dr. Laurie's patients are not getting the care they deserve.

Dr. Laurie is the absolute worse physician I have ever encountered. The office staff is unprofessional and nurses are extremely unprofessional. Good luck talking to a live person when you call during business hours. You will get the voice message system and when you leave a message donâ??t hold your breath waiting on a call back because it will never happen. If you miss an appointment you can forget getting a prescription refill.
