Dr Shauna bethel, very negative towards my husband (patient) and myself in icu. She needs to be friendlier, and have a passion to save a life no matter what. At least try. Her and the icu negative attitude and culture towards patients in icu trying to heal, wake from coma, she needs to study more and understand coma healing patients following cardiac arrest are alive and need time to heal. Stop the removal of treatment on innocent patients trying to heal.

Overall very happy. Does not force medicine that is not needed. Moved from Texas and spent a lot of time and money on treatments that made me feel worse instead of better. This doctor actually listens and explains options. Does seem to be some issues with where her staff are scanning documents into record but she always finds the information.

very unhappy about the negative attitude from dr. shauna bethel. there are many treatments that can be done for the anoxic coma/cardiac arrest pattient. including best stabalize patient and quickly transfer patient to the best trauma cardiac specialty/neourolgy science critical care hospital(sweedish medical-craig hospital, or shepard hospital in georgia. very quickly. that gives the coma patient the best possiable chance of survival. and to be informative and incourageing to the patients family would be wounderful. my husband was a patient here at the medical center of aurora, and most all employees in ICU were negative of seeing any improvement of patient, with exception of a few of the nice nurses. i feel all agressive treatment should be given to the anoxic coma patients to save them. they have families waiting for them. i wouldent trust this doctor to care for patient, and i would transfer patient quickly out of this hospital to a specialty hospital. you know its sad, as a… little girl, i saw them build this hospital and said one day maybe i could work here, but nooo. my husband lost his life here, because of negative employees not giving best aggressive treatment, not transfering to a better specialty hospital, and listening to the family of our love for the patient. because of traumatizing the patients adult children who agree to withdrawl life support, after only two weeks. when the patient only needs more time to heal.i am crushed and very disapointed in the negative attatude of the icu staff, on not even giving patients the chance to heal. coma can take weeks or months. please tell families to have the love and understanding to wait for the healing that can and does happen for the patients just needing the gift of more time to wake and heal. they do come back....just wait for the coma patient.
