Dr. Shauna Sexton Reid, MD

Dr Reid has been working with my 18 yr old daughter for over 4.5 yrs by now. She has been wonderful in handling my daughter's depression and anxiety issues. She is exceptional communicator and has a very unique style of connecting with teenagers. My daughter really liked her and got connected with her and was very successful in following doctors directions and mentoring in dealing her health related issues. We are very thankful to DR. Reid for helping our daughter work on her anxiety and depression related issues. She feel very confident now and has come long way due to Dr. Reid's help. Dr Reid is very flexible and responsive on any concerns and questions we had during this entire journey. Thanks Dr. Reid.

Great doctor who spent a lot of time with me and my child at her office in Sllen. Heard that her clinic in Plano got bad reviews because they double booked her and kept her schedule crazy! Heard that's why she left there and started her own practice!

Spent time to really understand our problem instead of just handing out a pill. It's hard to find doctors that truly care and she is one of the good ones!

Dr. Reid is very consistently on time in a busy clinic. My daughter really likes her and with her help she is doing better at school!

When I scheduled the appointment, we were told to show up at 2:45 for our 3 pm appointment, but Dr. Reid refused to see us because we were still filling out paperwork by the time our appointment was supposed to start (even though I was almost done with it because most of it didn't apply to our daughter). The front desk told us that we should have been there 30 minutes before our appointment was supposed to start to fill out the paperwork. If there is that much paperwork that needs to be completed prior to the appointment, then it should be available online so patients can fill it out and bring it with them prior to the appointment. Especially if the doctor needs to have it in her hands at least 15 minutes prior to our appointment so she can review it, which is what we were told at one point. We were never allowed to talk to the doctor directly because she was already with the patient scheduled after us not even 5 minutes after my daughter's appointment was supposed to start.… They then told us that it's not uncommon for her to double book appointments. That tells me that she won't take the time necessary for patients because I was under the assumption that we would have 30-60 minutes with her to evaluate my daughter. The front desk offered to reschedule our appointment and said that her next available appointment was for five weeks later; however, when I called the Child and Family Guidance Centers number, they said she had new patient appointments for the following week.

I scheduled an appointment for my son with Dr. Reid. It was cancelled and rescheduled twice. On the 3rd attempt to have her see him I was told at the front desk that I was too late. My appointment was at 10:15AM. I arrived there at 10:15AM, only to be told that I should have been there 30 minutes early to fill out paperwork. I was not told this by the people that I made the appointment with, nor was I told this by the person who comfirmed the appointment, nor by the person who called to confirm my insurance with me. I waited in the waiting room for 50 minutes only to be told that she wouldn't see us because we were late.

Got in quickly and she took the time to listen and understand my problems.

Really spent time understanding my problems and felt she really cared. Would highly recommend!
