Dr. Shaveta Manchanda

Saw her 3 or 4 times within 6 months. Made me do an MRI for constant headaches in pregnancy. that was negative, prescribed me medicine for migraines that I took for 6 months. I asked her multiple times about my chronic lower back & leg pain and it was never addressed, I only received an x-ray after my pregnancy that showed scoliosis--which I've known I've had for over 1/2 my life. this migraine medicine was supposed to help back pain which I messaged through Mercy about it not working multiple times. never prescribed anything else or suggested what to do about my back, just kept upping my RX dose that wasn't working! I feel like the doesn't listen to anything and really doesn't know what she's talking about all around. one of the worst Dr's I've ever had at Mercy for the past 10+ years.

I went to her to be examined for neuropathy. I had been examined by the Occupational Specialist on Kearney and he felt my problem was from my previous exposure to chemicals where I had worked for the Federal Government. She immediately saw that I had Type 2 Diabetes and determined that was the root of my problem with out discussing my chemical exposure. My Diabetes has been under control since before I was diagnosed. My Mercy GP saw I was prediabetic and kept a close watch on me. If high blood sugars are a cause of neuropathy then how can you have Diabetic Neuropathy with controlled blood sugar levels. She lied to the Department of Case Manager and wouldn't reexamine or change her opinion. She even lied to me about contacting the Dept. of Labor. Poor professional. She can't speak English well enough to carry on a conversation. The Staff in her office were very professional and caring.

Very rude and not helpful.

I've been seeing Dr Manchanda for many years for epilepsy.. she never did an MRI on me. I had no problem w her until this year when I ca5in w a different neurological problem. She walked in the room and sa8I could not have this problem become my MRI is clear. Then she threaten me w a drug test. I ssid good. Then she said I'd have to have a spinal tap. I just looked at her. Suddenly she started Screaming "I won't give you pain medicine!". I was nin plus. My condition isnt treated w pain medicine. She SCREAMED it again. The Third time she screamed this. I yelled back "I don't want pain medicine!" She ran from the room and at the door she yelled "I'll still treat you for epilepsy!" And I said, liudly "No you won't!" I went to the Hospital and made a complaint. Before I made it home, I was informed that She had fired Me. In a week I received a letter saying no neurologist in that building will treat me. Sure. Like I'd ever go there again.

Anyway, I have seen the same doctor for the diagnosis and treatment of this problem 4X. The facility, nurses, and office staff are all incredibly nice and efficient, which is very uncommon for a doctors office; however, the doctor who is treating me I think has some serious issues , Stay away from her

This dr was so rude and dismissive from the start. She didn't listen or seem to care about my symptoms. I was referred bc of back pain that's been trying to be diagnosed for almost 4 years and this idiot orders a test to be done on my LEGS! WHAT??! One of the most unpleasant doctors iv ever had to deal with. Gave her onw star bc I had to in order to write this review. Do not go to her.

On my appointment, Dr. Manchanda asked me to walk for her. I have Parkinsons Disease, the problem was that she asked me to "walk"--- in the EXAM ROOM ! How is a person suppose to walk in the exam room? 3 steps to one side, 3 steps back. And this is how she checks a patients gait? My leg reflexes were checked with my feet flat on the floor, tap, tap, on one knee. How many fingers do you see? One. I also have CHF, she was not concerned about my B/P, or heart rate. She did not ask about my balance, trouble walking, eating or sleep habits, nothing about the progress of the Parkinson's that I have had for 10 years. She did not care to know anything about me. She does not even deserve the one star rating. I've requested another Dr.

I had to get a new doctor bc mine transferred to being a hospitalist. The first thing she told me was that she knew I didn't have MS. I already knew that and then she asked me if I was there to get on disability! I was shocked that she even mentioned this...I was diagnosed with having Chiari Malformation and was trying to get some information on it. She had NO clue at all! She is very rude and I would NEVER refer any friends or enemies to her!!!

The dr.'s mind was made up before entering the room, I felt very dismissed from the start. Did not listen to my symptoms or concerns. She did not care to try to help figure out what happened or present a plan of next steps I could take. Made me and my family feel like we were wasting her time. I had a neurological event which left me having to relearn life. I only gave 1 star because review requires it.

If you have a brain tumor, this doctor won't care. Treated me very dismissively, thought I was a faking my symptoms... never got my test results until three years after another Dr. asked for them. Stay far away...
