Dr. Shawn Echard, DPM

Office staff member requested that I place both my infected bare foot as well as my other foot with my shoe still on, on the medical chair foot rest without any sanitary paper. I've been to other podiatrist offices and every other office I've been to uses sanitary paper or a paper towel between patients. I asked if paper should be placed on the chair before setting my foot on the chair but the medical staff member replied in the negative. Infected foot remained directly on chair padding during appointment with doctor. I reached out to the office about this but received no response except until receiving an electronic notice of my balance due.

He cut my kid open and put screws in his ankles just so he could make a buck. He convinced my wife and I that it would correct the way his feet pointed outward. A real doctor eventually removed them.

Dr. Eckard was very knowledgeable took his time and explained everything, wonderful bedside manner his receptionist was also very nice.

Dr Echard did explain things to me, but basically made me feel Uncomfortable with his rude and uncaring demeanor. It seemed he was unhappy I did not choose the option that would've benefited him more financially. He hurt me twice during a procedure ( and I'm pretty tough), and never slowed down or apologized, or even acknowledged that he had caused me pain. I have never left a bad review for anyone, but felt strongly enough to do so this time. Overall, the feeling I got was that he is sick of people. Needless to say, I will not be going back to him, and would never recommend him to anyone.

Was diagnosed without being examined by the dr. Rather then offering solutions on how to aggressively treat and resolve my problem, he told me I'd have to live with it, then wanted to manage my pain with expensive laser beams (which isn't backed by hard science) and expensive footwear. If you want your problem fixed, rather than "managed", I suggest you seek real treatment elsewhere.
