Dr. Shawn Gregory Kaser, MD

He seemed nice during the office visit, but when push came to shove, he gave up on me after one alternative plan for medication. He didn't bother to read my chart at all, since if he did, he would see that I cannot take certain medications due to asthma and that I have already tried the other one he was suggesting at the max dose. His response to not wanting to take those two meds? Go see another specialist. That doesn't make sense since I already have a diagnosis. I just need treatment. There has to be something out there that I can take for it besides beta blockers. I've been without heart medication for a few days now thanks to him. His response for emails is slow at best. Lastly, this journey of him giving up on me started when the pharmacist mistakenly told him that I didn't have coverage for medication. I have verified with the insurance and I do have coverage. That one medicine that he suggested isn't covered since it's being used as off label. Instead of checking with me, he… assumed that I was trying to get something for free and gave up. I'm just trying to get something that is covered by the medicine insurance that I do have. I wouldn't recommend him to anyone.

My husband is a patient of cardiologist, Dr. Kaser’s At Kaiser Town Park, Kennesaw, Ga. He has one of the best bed-side manners I have ever seen. He is highly intelligent, caring (truly wants what’s best for the patient) and very respectful. Thank the good Lord he is still with Kaiser because once he leaves, we will look for another health plan.

Dr. Kaser is a wonderful cardiologist!!! My husband has Alot of medical problems, ie: diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, end stage renal disease, (he's on dialysis 3x week) he has diabetic neuropathy etc. Anyway, Gary had been in A-Fib for approx. 8-9 months!! and yes he was under another "cardiologist's" care! he didn't want to "rush" Gary into a normal heart rythem because he thought it could be done with medication. However, my poor husbands heart rate had gone all the way down to 52-58 beats per minutes!!! This was incredibly scarey for us!!! My husband could barely function! Luckily, during one of his ER admissions last year, the ER Dr. that was on duty called in Dr. Kaser and now I'm happy to report that after all that he has been in a normal rythem ever since the cardioconversion one year ago!!! After having two heart attacks and a 5x cabg. I really felt this waas nothing to "wait" on, I was and continue to be very grateful for Dr. Kasers great care and brilliant… knowledge. Thank you Dr. Kaser and staff.
