Dr. Shawn Allen Macleod, MD

Did not take my feedback serious for an infection, did not help, did not refer to a specialist. I listened to my gut feeling and sought help at the ER then.

Dr. Macleod has been mine and my 3 children's pcm for 3 years. I can honestestly say he is not going to baby you or just fill a script. I had to take responsibility and accountability for my choices I was making for my health, both mentally and physically and not only for me, but for my 3 children as well. It is sometimes hard to hear the truth. Thank you Dr. Macleod and his AMAZING Nurse Ann Marie for always being straight forward and truthful and sticking with me through my highs and lows. Oh and for the record, I did seek a second opinion for my son who is extremely overweight, because I had thought Dr. Macleod was too harsh on him. I felt foolish when the second Dr. said the exact same thing. Even advicing and suggesting the same thing. Needless to say Dr. Macleod is still our family's PCM :) my sons weight is slowly dropping. :) Please voice your concerns with Dr. Macleod and his staff they do listen, you just need to listen and be honest and truthful to yourself… as well.

I am surprised at the other reviews while my experience with this Dr. seeing both my husband and son over the last several months have been more than satisfactory. He is personable and even went the extra mile by calling me for follow up and emailing me instructions on care for my son's ingrown toenail. He tends to side towards letting the body heal itself if it can, with as little intervention as possible and I like that!

Was a little worried based on reviews, but my visit was very positive!

Overly concerned with costs and proper paperwork not proper diagnosis and treatment. Disappointing at best.

He told me that I was "using up resources that people who are ACTUALLY sick should have". Only because I can come in a month earlier with the same symptoms but for a completely different reason! He insulted me and was so rude about it that it made me cry. He told me "you're an adult, you should know how to take care of yourself". Because he thought I was only coming in for something that was basically a "cold". Not true at all. I had been having liver problems and was very sick. He refused to refill a medication I had been on for a year. He didn't even check me out to see if I was okay. He just stood there and was being very rude to me. It made me feel so degraded and that my sickness wasn't valid. Or that every time I'm actually sick and I come in he will turn me away again. Needless to say I'm switching doctors. DO NOT GO TO THIS A$$hole He has been very rude to me since I started seeing him and the other day was the last straw!

My experience with this "dr" is he has a lot to learn about how to treat patients..he is arrogant and it is very obvious that he has an issue with people that experience real pain and have real issues as I've never been so insulted, talked down to, or simply treated like a piece of garbage by a dr in my life...karma is a b**** and I hope someday he gets his dose!

I found this Dr. to be a poor listener, arrogant, and unprofessional.
