Successful surgery for me and also my husband. Different situations and both successful. He is a great diagnostician and an amazing surgeon.

I had two surgeries with him, both quite good, and I still see him for arthritis in my hand. Highly recommend him CB

I was referred to Dr. Shayfer; when I called to make an appointment the office assistant was very high handed and rude to me. She told me she would send me paperwork via email and to complete it and return it to her. When I asked for their address and suite number she said it would be on the paperwork. A week went by no email, when I called and suggested we reschedule she was annoyed - she would email the paperwork and could complete it immediately and return it to her. Gee thanks but no thanks, if this is how you treat a new patient I think I'll try someone else first. He may be a great doctor but his office support did not inspire confidence.

Dr. Sohail Shayfer diagnosed me with a digit condition which required hand surgery to relieve it. From the start,he was kind, warm and professional as well as his staff. The surgery was acomplete success. He is more than a great surgeon, he is a magician! I have quickly recovered and healed well because of his great work. I am certainly another satisfied patient.

Though Dr Shayfer may be an excellent doctor his bedside manner is terribly lacking. He comes in spends 3 minutes with you chooses not to elaborate on your situation. He is arrogant and becomes very impatient if you ask more questions than he wants to answer. His way of speaking down to the patient is uncalled for and he needs to change his attitude. I am glad at least his reputation in his surgical procedures is good. If you are just looking for a surgeon he's the man however if you need an understanding and compassionate Dr look elsewhere.

While the doctor is obviously very knowledgable, it would behoove him to recognize that his patients are also knowledgable-especially when it comes to their pain!Did not appreciate him sounding and looking frustrated when I asked clarifying questions as he spoke to quickly and is in obvious need of accent reduction!It took him awhile to see that I was just not going to accept what he had to say without thorough understanding.When he realied I was not going to quit, he gave in, answered my questions more quietly, patiently and with more regard.I left on good terms and will see how he is in 4 weeks on my follow up. If not better, to another doctor I go!

Dr. Shayfer's staff were incredible, sweet and caring. The Dr. himself was knowlegable and didn't speak down to me. He answered all of my questions and told me the realities of my condition and didn't placate me with a prescription that wouldn't give me any relief. I left feeling as though I was in good hands.
