Dr. Shawn Michael Sullivan, DO

If this is the same Dr. Sullivan who works in old town Scottsdale then I would highly avoid him. Without ever meeting him and him knowing I was taking one medication based on a certain medical condition, I was just told he would not take me on as a patient based on that medication. Shameful and cruel is how I would describe him and I haven't even met him but to do that to someone is just that .. shameful and cruel.

Cares about your health. Spends time trying to figure things out with you. Blunt, yes, but only because he cares about his patients. I like a doctor who tells you the truth. That’s what I want. I’ve never, ever had a problem with how frank he is, nor have I had issues with his office staff. They know me by name... Dr. Sullivan is one of the main reasons I’ve stayed here, in AZ. Great doctor..

I was recommended to Dr. Shawn Sullivan by a co-worker after moving to this state and he is totally awesome, he takes his time to hear you're needs and concerns, THAT does not happen these days. I do kind of agree that the lady in the front desk can be kind of touchy...BUT that should not reflect on everyone else, HE IS AMAZING! thanks Dr. Sullivan :-)

Horrible office and staff. Full of rude women. Typical Scottsdale. Stay away from this place. The dr could care less about anything but his cars and himself

I have been seeing Dr Sullivan for almost two years now. I went from a cardiologist, endocrinologist and family doctor to just him. He has kept my high blood pressure in check even through medication changes. He has also not only gotten my Diabetes under control but has educated me on the medications. ever visit he listens till you are done, he is blunt with his responses but lets face it do you want truth or sugar coating. I would recommend him to anyone. His staff go out of there way to help and make your appointment smooth very pleasant office and very helpful.

My entire family and some of my friends all see Dr. Sullivan. He's definitely a unique, but amazing doctor. We've all decided that he reminds us of a slightly nicer version of Dr. House (TV show). He is definitely blunt. But it's obvious that it's because he cares. He treats all of his patients like he'd treat his own family. He's very down to earth and easy to talk to. He listens well and explains things in a way that you can understand. His first solution is not always to write a prescription, but he's not afraid to do so when needed. He keeps himself up-to-date on any other doctors you're seeing or medications you're taking. He also gets that his patients aren't made of money and will try and help you out with samples and to save money the best he can. I would (and have) recommend Dr. Sullivan to anyone looking for a great doctor!

This doctor cares. Compassionate, takes the time to spend with you about your concerns, he listens to you, he studies why you are on meds prescribed by other docs and cares why you are taking certain prescriptions, friendly staff. Dr Sullivan is what all doctors should strive to be like.

I searched for a number of years for a doctor that believed in and would treat Fibromyalgia. My first appointment I interviewed him before I decided to come back. He goes above and beyond the call. One time when I was having a hard time w/ a possible serious health situation he had me call his cell each night to report the progress. He stays current on medical research. Unless he has had an unusual day, I have never waited more than 5 min. to be seen and have always felt that he gives me the time I need when I am there. He takes the time to explain what might be wrong w/ you, the effects and possible treatments. He is also not hesitant to refer a patient to a specialist if needed. He doesn't have what I call a God complex because he is a doctor. I would highly recommend Dr. Sullivan to anyone. His staff is also very caring, professional and will work w/ you on appointment times or any other needs. He is the best I have ever found.
