Shawna Reagan, AuD

Shawna Reagan, AuD, is an accomplished audiologist who earned her doctorate through the joint program at San Diego State University and the University of California San Diego. During her residency at the University of California San Francisco, she gained extensive training in various audiology specialties and presented groundbreaking research on pediatric cochlear implants at the 2025 American Academy of Audiology conference in New Orleans. As a student, Dr. Reagan also contributed to research examining the effects of prenatal exposure to HIV medication on children's hearing. Her professional interests include pediatric audiology, cochlear implants, and cochlear synaptopathy, and she is dedicated to educating others about American Sign Language and d/Deaf culture. Born and raised in St. Paul, Minnesota, Dr. Reagan completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Minnesota Duluth before pursuing graduate school in California. Her career reflects a commitment to blending …innovative technology with patient-centered care, while respecting and supporting Deaf culture. She strives to help individuals with hearing loss and their families make informed decisions that enhance communication and quality of life. Outside of her professional work, Dr. Reagan enjoys spending time with her family and animals, baking, painting, dancing, and jogging along the scenic shores of Lake Superior. She is also active in advocacy efforts and values creativity in all aspects of her life. Dr. Reagan's passion for both her field and her personal interests highlights her dedication to making a positive impact in the lives of others.
