Dr. Shayla Garrett Hauser, MD

I had an encounter with this so called doctor at Carle. She is very unprofessional and didn't listen to a word I had to say. She, like others, put money over patient care on a daily basis. I don't know where Carle gets these fly by night doctors. It ruining their reputation. They have totally gone downhill with their care. It's ashame that it's came to this. Before Carle took over this hospital, it was one of the best in the State. Not anymore!! I refuse to have anyone from this hospital treat me.

My husband encountered her in the ED at Carle BroMenn in November 2024. He was experiencing shortness of breath & chest pains. He was later diagnosed with bilateral pneumonia. Dr Garrett Hauser was rude, cantankerous & just awful. We have come across a lot of doctors in the past 20 some years of marriage and this has to be the worst person we have ever dealt with. I would love to know why Carle keeps her employed. Believe all of the negative reviews that you read because she is the worst provider that I have ever experienced in my entire life. Ridiculous. Unacceptable.

Seen in the ER. Treated my daughter horribly, gaslit us and blamed my daughter for her diagnosis. Dr. Garrett-Hauser going to discharge my daughter even though the nurses wouldn’t let her out of bed because she was a fall risk. When we asked further questions, Dr. Garrett-Hauser was very rude and walked out of the room. Unfortunately we have been in the ER since this experience and I always ask who the doctor is-we will walk out before seeing her again.

This doctor was the most unprofessional, rude Dr. I have ever seen. While I was in the ER, she made inappropriate sexual jokes towards me before and while performing a digital vaginal exam. I felt very violated after she examined me. She should not be in practice!

My family and I went to the ER because my infant had RSV. She told me I could not ride in the ambulance with my infant son (though I could) and was just an overall rude and nasty person.

Very rude and doesn’t ask if the patient has question and interrupts you if you interrupt her. Shouldn’t be working in this field if you can’t care and have kindness for people.

She is an uncaring,mean,nasty person!
