Dr. Shazia Asif Aman, MD

Almost 2 years ago Dr. Aman cut one of my husbands medications in half causing him to have Afib. The only reason I knew was because we have a sleep number bed that tracks your pulse while you sleep. His pulse went from low 50’s to 90’s and higher. After much nagging he called and she had him wear a halter monitor. Then she sent a letter saying everything was fine. Eventually the bed stopped registering his pulse. He called the office and she did not return his call. When he went for his next appointment almost a year later she came in apologizing because he should have been on blood thinners all this time (almost a year) and that he had never called the office because there was no exits of it. She put him on blood thinners which caused a GI bleed that caused his hemoglobin to go down to 7.2. Now after almost another year his hemoglobin is up to 11.2 and he is feeling much better but when he went for his recent appt she changed the medication she had cut to a time released version… claiming it was the same thing and he wouldn’t have any side effects. He did. When he called to tell her she claimed it was his cholesterol medication (that he has been taking for 15 years) I have begged him to change doctors but he won’t. Her bedside manner is very condescending. I am hoping my post will save someone else from having to deal with her.

I have been seeing Dr. Aman for about three years. I have found her to be a very caring and capable physician. She is most willing to take the time to discuss your medical issues and advise you regarding your ongoing plans for medical care. I wholeheartedly recommend her.
