Dr. Shazia Amar, MD

Through this review I would like alert any patient who wants to make an appointment with this Doctor to please do not do so. She makes you wait a long time for your appointment ( getting it while the getting is good) and if there is a new patient that just walked-in and if his/hers insurance is better than yours, that person was first even if you are waiting for an hour or an hour and the half already. Her office is old and dingy. Her employees are the worst and they are all trained by her to lie to your face. It’s not worth it, go someplace else. On top of this, after all that time patiently waiting in the waiting room when she finally sees you takes two minutes with you because three other patients are already waiting for her!!!!! Bad, bad, Bad

Not Covid safe! When I arrived at the office for my appointment (five minutes before my confirmed time, in the midst of the Covid pandemic) I was shocked to see four people waiting in the tiny underground waiting room, with the receptionist making a fifth. I was asked to sign in and told the other people were waiting for the doctor. My temperature was not checked, and I was not asked to sanitize my hands - in fact it was if everything was pre-pandemic. I was extremely uncomfortable waiting in such a small, confined space. I don't mind waiting in normal times, but with no safely precautions place, I left.

Dr. Amar is one of the best drs I have encountered. She is extremely professional and is super thorough during each of our visits. She has provided an expert level of care and has made herself accessible in the case of last minute appointments. Dr. Amar has several locations available for appointments. Her staff members are professionals and are incredibly attentive to all patients needs or request. Patient waiting time is no longer than 10 to 15 mins. Dr. Amar is very much a people person that cares for the well being and recovery of each patient.

DO NOT GO TO HER!!! DURING SURGERY SHE CUT A NERVER IN MY TOE AND NOW I CANT MOVE MY LITTLE TOE. STAY AWAY.

horrible incompetent doctor who used highly toxic carcinogenic formaldehyde to treat my wart, not only didnt it work, she put me into permanent disability. Avoid at all cost!
