Dr. Shazia Javed, MD

I saw Dr. Javed at the Aurora VA Clinic for a follow-up on persistent abdominal pain. I was very disappointed with the experience. From the start of the appointment, she was dismissive and did not listen. As soon as I mentioned a concern the ER had raised about possible pancreatic inflammation, she seemed annoyed and cut me off repeatedly. Instead of evaluating my ongoing symptoms, she spent the appointment looking at my chart while I spoke and argued against my concerns rather than investigating them. When I asked for a referral to figure out the cause of my pain, she dismissively asked "referral for what?" and later said "we can do more CTs to satisfy you" in a mocking tone. I left the appointment feeling unheard and frustrated. I never felt like she took my pain seriously. It felt less like a medical consultation and more like she was trying to prove me wrong. I would not recommend this provider to anyone seeking a doctor who will listen and take their concerns seriously.
