Dr. Sheba Mary Joseph

Dr Joseph is a very lovely human being not to mention the expertise she has in diagnosing health issues. I’m so grateful that she has cared for me and my son for over 5 years. She will be my Doctor as long as she is in practice!!!

Positives: she accurately diagnosed my issue, easy to get prescription refills. Negatives: you must remember to ask for lower cost generic meds, difficult to get a hold of (I call maybe twice per year and she's usually out of the office or at a conference), bedside manner could be better (she wasn't rude... just more emotionless).

Need to watch how they file claims with your insurance.

Dr. Joseph was very caring and unrushed in my visit with her. She checks with me to see if certain labs or tests have been done by the specialists I see. The most unpleasant thing (which has nothing to do w/ her) is the long hold time on the telephone w/ the staff to make the appointments.

I would not recommend Dr. Joseph to ANYONE. My husband and I caught scabies from his mom and at the time we had a 1 week old son. Dr. Joseph had told us not to treat him because he was too young. Two months pass and my son has blisters and red bumps covering literally his whole stomach. They eventually spread to his arms, legs, back, neck, feet and hands. Dr. Joseph had told us 3 times that it was just 'baby acne' and to put Vaseline on it. I ended up taking him to the doctor on a Friday, the day which Dr . Joseph did not work. I saw a different doctor and he was totally stunned that Dr. Joseph had not diagnosed my son with scabies. The poor little thing had been screaming and crying for 2 months, constantly irritated and itchy. I am so furious with Dr. Joseph I could just ring her neck. Of course we did the treatment on my son and it cleared up almost right away. You shouldn't have to get a second opinion from a different doctor! Awful.
