We took our son in for a swollen lymph node accompanied by a fever, sore throat, and inability to move his neck. He had no appetite and overall lethargy. He was sent home with 8! bottles of antibiotics and told to take OTC pain meds. No help. We took him back to the same ER 2 days later and he was admitted to ICU and ultimately diagnosed with Kawasaki Disease and his body was in shock! He could have died with a general diagnosis of lymphadenitis. No kidding. His lymph node was huge! If he would have dug a little deeper, he could have been admitted then, not suffered 2 more days of septic shock.

Our son started swollen lymph node on Monday and we took to an urgent care. There he was tested flu and strep negative and low range fever. He then started high temperature on Tuesday.On Wednesday, we took him to TCH ER and Dr. Chacko was the provider there at that time. A physician assistant came up and did strep test said it's positive. Our son was fatigue and dehydrated. Chacko came up with physician assistant later but didn't examine the patient and prescribed penicillin shot and an antibiotic. He didn't pay attention that the patient is having high fever for 3 days in a row and the patient is so tired that couldn't get up from the bed. We spent almost 5 hours in ER with no check up or treatment other the penicillin shot and for an antibiotic prescription. We got discharged then but no improvement until Sunday and we went to ER again. Our son could feel better earlier if Dr. Chacko would examine and treated him well.
