Hi, my name is Sheena, and I'm a Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner serving clients in New York. I specialize in anxiety, depression, anger management/impulse disorder, maternal mental health/pre/postpartum, women’s issues, family issues, relationship issues, bipolar disorder, insomnia & sleep issues, life coaching, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), life transitions, loss, grief, and bereavement, race & cultural identity, religion & spirituality, PTSD/trauma, stress management, ADHD, seasonal affective disorder (SAD), and sleep disorders. I’ve been in nursing for over 14 years and completed my master’s in nursing and psychiatric training at the University of Cincinnati. I’m passionate about destigmatizing mental healthcare, and together with my colleagues at Lavender Psychiatry, I’m on a mission to create a world where feelings are felt, respected, and cared for.

I chose to be a psych NP because I cannot imagine doing anything else in my life except for helping those who are finding their way and their voice. I always wanted a career in nursing and in healthcare due to my desire and passion of wanting to help those who need it the most.

I have worked with a wide range of clients, including students, parents, professionals from various fields, skilled tradespeople, service industry workers, retail employees, entrepreneurs, artists, and technology experts.
