Horrible office staff. They do not care about patients.

Went to the Long Beach office and had a talk with one of the pretend Dr then they charged me 175.00 for no service she said you look fine less then 5 min I have a 40.00 co pay only. I called my insurance co and there office will not even pick up the phone. I want a phone call and a refund you can have your co pay but your practice is a rip off

I scheduled online with ZocDoc filled out the forms in advance and show up. I signed in at the desk when I showed up, which is the wrong one. They don't tell you they have a hidden desk around the corner where you sign in. In fact, they didn't call to confirm or verify anything at all so I had to fill out the forms again, wait while they verified insurance after waiting for my name to be called by whoever they share an office with. Finally get into the room with Vanessa and explain symptoms, she sticks a small metal tube in my nose, then she pulls out a checklist with treatment options and ticks off some lines and tells me my nose is irritated and I need to flush out my eustachian tubes, tells me to get Afrin, Claritin D, xlear, Nasonex and a prescription for Singulair (which is mainly used to treat allergies and asthma- things I am not being seen for). As I'm waiting to pay, Dr. Shah comes out (who was not present during any of this) ushers me away to talk to Vanessa like I'm some… inconvenient peasant. Ok fine, I've lived in long island for decades I'm used to rude people. Finally, I'm allowed to pay my bill and leave after 2 hours. A day well spent. I use the medicine as directed and it does not help, in fact makes my nose start bleeding and more irritated than before I walked in and does not help with my TMJ issues, which is what I went in there to fix. I decide to go to a competent ENT (Sabbir Kahn-for anyone looking) he tells me to stop taking all of that except the xlear and then does an endoscopy with a camera, tube down to my throat all the fun stuff. The craziest part of this experience is when I get the bill and it's $400 and I think oh the endoscope for Dr. Kahn was expensive, but it's for that 4 inch 5-second SURGERY that was performed at Shah's office. I'm blown away (it's listed as a surgery on the bill btw) So I call and deal with the non responsive billing department (who has lost my copay as well - I saved the receipt thank god) and talk to Shah who explains adding "Oh My God" since I didn't go to medical school with her enlightened self and can't fathom the cost of a longer version of what your GP sticks in your nose being billed as a surgical procedure. I wasn't going to even write a review, but after we decided on something fair (in her mind- fair for me is $0 and reimbursed copay for wasting my time) I paid over the phone and asked for a receipt to submit to FSA 2 months ago called twice after. Still waiting, about to call again today, but I figured I could help some poor lost souls, because finding a good ENT is difficult and unfortunately very very necessary.

I saw Dr.Shaw and was diagnosed with ear wax and loss of hearing. She removed the wax. I still cannot hear.i went to the primary doctor and he said no wonder I cannot hear! My ear still full of wax! I will now have to see different ENT. Will not be returning to see Dr. Shah!

Love this doctor! Makes me feel comfortable and reviews my ENT options. Have seen her multiple times. If you have ENT problems in Garden City or Long Beach, she is the ONE to see.

Dr. Shah was great. I was referred by my husband, who has also seen Dr. Shah for a a throat condition. I was having trouble hearing and it was getting hard to function. I had to turn the TV up really loudly. My internist looked in my ears and referred me to Dr. Shah. She immediately diagnosed the problem: the normal wax in my ears had built up so much and hardened, blocking my ear passages. She explained to me the procedure and instead of making me schedule it for another time, she handled it right then and there! That type of service was unprecedented for me at a doctors office. She even prescribed medicine to prevent this from happening again and made sure to tell me the "cheap, generic brand" worked just as well as the more expensive version of the medicine. A few days later, she called me to make sure I was doing OK and said that because there were no problems, I didn't need to waste my time and money with a follow-up unless a problem came up. A physician who cares for you… immediately, is respectful of your time, tries to make sure your out-of-pocket costs are low and is a skillful surgeon on top of that can't be beat! I referred two friends to her and they both had similar experiences.

Dr. Shah is an amazing and caring physician. She actually came out to the waiting room to get me. Dr. Shah examined me thoroughly and treated my severe ear infection and sinus problem with care AND she explained everything to me. I am so happy that she is here - am sending all of my family to see her.

I was sick with a cough for weeks and my internist advised me to see and ENT- he told me she would do a thorough exam of my nose and throat and identify the problem. I was seen for few minutes- she looked at my nose quickly and refused to look in my throat claiming she saw severe sinusitis- she gave me her usual sinusitis handout, strong antibiotics that wiped me out for a week and cat scan- A week later I was much worse than before at my follow up appt. She looked at my cat scan and told me that it wasn't sinusitis my issue and referred me to a pulmonologist - once again refusing to examine my nose and throat thoroughly and seeing me for a few minutes. Once at the pulmonologist I was finally examined properly with a special scope that looked down in my sinuses and voice box. My problem was identified and my treatment regimen completely changed. I had a throat issue that she misdiagnosed and refused to examine. I lost weeks of my life being wiped out by unnecessary antibiotics- I… never experienced anything like this and this is the first time im posting a review. Hopefully another patient won't suffer like I did.

Dr. Shah is smart, kind and just a pleasure to see. She has fantastic experience and a wonderful personality. Her staff goes out of their way to help.

Dr. Shah is the BEST ENT I have seen. She is kind, professional and diagnosed my problem after a thorough exam. I am so happy to have meet her. I am sending my husband and co-workers to see her!
