Very disappointing! If you want a pill dispenser, go to her. But if you want a medical opinion, and an explanation of the cause of a chronic rash, forget about it - go somewhere else.

Dr. Kim Hovanky chose wisely when she added Dr. Sheila Amar to her Allergy/Asthma practice in Georgetown. Dr. Amar is an excellent physician. I had seen Dr. Amar twice before and appreciated her skills. Today I visited with her and she was the competent, reliable physician I had come to trust in the first two visits. She quickly made the diagnosis, treated me and spoke with me about new medications. I am so grateful Dr. Amar is in Georgetown. I found the office staff friendly and professional.

I was having chest pains that seemed similar to what I had had in Arizona that was diagnosed to be asthma. I had never seen Dr Amar before but she got me right in the same day. She took her time and really checked me over better than my regular doctor did. She determined it was not an asthma attack and after a couple visits advised I do not even have asthma, only allergies! Wonderful. Wish she would do regular medical care as well because I would switch to her in a heart beat!
