Dr. Sheila M Mitchell, MD

I have been looking everywhere for a Dr that would listen to me. Dr. Sheila Mitchell does. She was friendly, asked me good questions, listened and answered ALL my questions and took her time to make sure I understood what she was recommending for me. I couldn't be happier. Her staff was friendly and prompt. The office was clean and orderly. After nearly two years of putting up with Dr's that insist they know what's better for you than you do, I have found someone that will at least listen and talk with me about health options. I recommend her highly!

Dr. Mitchell is an exceptionally caring, compassionate, professional and thorough doctor. She has the ability to gain the knowledge she needs from her patients, both by direct questioning and general conversation. She never appears hurried during an office visit. Dr. Mitchell follows up as needed after an office visit. The office staff is always courteous. There is no difficulty getting an appointment with Dr. Mitchell. Waiting time at Spirit of Health is never more than ten to fifteen minutes.

In a timeframe of 2 weeks they made about 6 mistakes. Could 'never' get them to do anything correctly. Trying to get a simple prescription filled took days, and days, and even when they tried to fill it, they sent in the wrong medicine that didn't even exist! Dr. Mitchell is way too busy to look at your file and address anything that needs to be done, and her staff is the biggest group of dimwits you'll ever have to deal with. Go here only if you want to be driven crazy!!

Dr Mitchell always takes the time to consult and addresses all my concerns. She has prepared her staff to take care of day-to-day issues that othwise require waiting a couple weeks for an appointment. The office is clearly a good work environment where the employees are genuinely concerned about their patients. ZocDoc has made appointments easier and better. Our whole family has gone to Dr. Mithcell for several years and we love the care we get.

This doctor's office is the most incompetent and unethical in the way that they deal with the public. They refused to provide me with a referral to a GI specialist doctor to help me with a long standing chronic problem that I specifically pointed out several times to them. I called my insurance to verify what is needed and my insurance stated that I can go to see any doctor of my choice. This office was rude over the phone, and continued to tell me that once they reviewed my request that "someone" would get back to me. I had to go to urgent care just so that I could get a referral to see a stomach specialist, as this doctor's office was very proprietary of my health information. This office charges a fee to disclose my health information to me. They do not call patients back when requested to do so, and do not refer out should you need more specialized care. When I last complained about my symptoms, I was told to go to a "naturopath" for pain that I have had for a long time. This… office is rude, slow, and wanted to charge me just to tell me my lab results, which my doctor back home would discuss with me quickly over the phone assuming everything was ok. I don't recommend these guys to anyone. Run!!!!!
