Dr. Sheila Marlene Overton, MD

Dr. Overton delivered my second child after 20 hours in active labor, we had to have an unexpected C-section. Dr. Overton remained present the entire time from preliminary contractions until completing the surgery. She thoroughly explained my options and next steps throughout the process. She was caring and compassionate to my needs and worries. The surgery went exceptionally well - her hands were steady and she was very targeted in her approach (bonus is the super tiny scar!). She also performed a beautiful circumcision on my son, my pediatrician was impressed! Dr. Overton is amazing in so many different ways. She's a doctor that makes time for her clients, I felt like I mattered and I have felt what it feel she like to not from other doctors. I highly recommend her!

This doctor was the absolute worse.. she did not follow up properly with me and made me feel as if I did not matter and I had just come out from a surgery! This is was at the shady grove favility. I am very dossapppinted that I was under her care#

I feel Dr. Overton's absence from Kaiser. She is everything a high-risk expectant mother needs to have a safe delivery and a live birth. I cannot forget crying to her not to leave me in the delivery room far back in 1999 while I was in labor. Dr. Overton, your calmness, gentleness, and caring disposition will remain in my memory. Your writing books for teens is just a demonstration of what you believe in - save lives. You are a great doctor and thank you for saving lives.

Let me start by saying that I was a high risk advanced Maternal age mother with severe anxiety. When I met Dr. Overton she put my mind at ease and took her time with me, she got me in right away knowing how anxious I was and how scared. Dr Overton went above and beyond as my physician to call me after hours to see how I was doing mentally and physically and always treated me like she cared. I had a complicated delivery and Post partum depression and I am convinced I would not have gotten through this pregnancy and delivery of my healthy son without her. Also I am very picky about my healthcare because I am a nurse and I could not recommend anyone higher! The time and attention and capacity for caring provided by Dr. Overton was beyond exceptional.

Dr Overton is a very experienced and caring doctor. I would highly recommend her to any patient.

Dr. Overton always took the time to sit down and listen to what the problem was. She always included me in the planning and decision making for my care. She would follow up as promised and approached everything in a calm cool manner. Great physician and I would highly recommend
