Dr. Sheila Rice, MD

She used to be a good doctor, but ever since she’s been at UH she doesn’t seem to care about her patients at all. She is very fast and seems like she doesn’t know you, even though you have seen her for many years. In and out of doctor office in a few quick minutes. She does not have empathy.

My impression is she follows the western medical recipe of prescriptions to ease symptoms but clueless how to actually cure people. She didn’t like that I had questions.

I recently became a patient of Dr Rice. I am very happy with the care I have received. She is extremely knowledgeable and truly listens. She is very personable and I feel comfortable asking her any questions I may have. She and her staff are very prompt in regards to notifying me of tests results and explaining the results. I am so thankful for the care I have received.

Dr. Rice is so attentive and has such great followup. She cares about you as a patient. She is alert and contacts you immediately for any issues or questions. Dr. Rice is never too busy to take time with you and always gives solid medical advice.

Sends time getting all the facts/details before making decisions. Spends quality time with her patients. Lets her patients be part of decisions affecting their health.

Dr Rice is very efficient and kind. She is a great listener. She provides you with options regarding your care.

I have been with Dr Rice for a long time. I appreciate how she listens to me and understands how well I know my body. She seems particularly attuned to the way a woman's body changes over time, and the connection between the body and the mind. And I love how well she understands how important physical activity is to well being. It is also rare to have to wait for a long time at her offices. Things seem to move smoothly.

Dr. Sheila Rice is a wonderful doctor and a caring human being. She has just the right amount of bedside manner. I'm very happy with the care I receive from her.
