Dr. Sheila Benitia Thomas, DO

The rudest person I’ve ever spoken to. She seriously needs a psychiatric evaluation by the board. Read reviews from all sites and you will get a good idea of who she is.

Angel on Earth! I have been to several doctors and only Dr Thomas listened to my journey, issues, and bad unhealthy habits. She was the first Doctor who did not judge me for my bad choices. She is incredibly understanding and very thorough. She takes the time to explain what exactly is going on in your body to trigger overeating, addictions, auto-immune disorders, depression, anxiety, thyroid problems… the list goes on. I could spend all day with her learning! For treatment, we start out slowly..I like this. Other places I have been give you 20 supplements or other prescriptions and send you on your way. With Dr Thomas, we started with a couple supplements until my blood work came back so we knew exactly where to focus. I have not felt this good in I don’t know how long and it’s just the beginning of the treatment!! I haven’t been this excited about a doctor ever!! She is an angel on earth!

Dr. Thomas is knowledgeable in helping individuals lose weight, however like other reviews she is rude and condescending. Does not make eye contact. Only gives her opinion. Did not give any positive feedback. I left feeling horrible when I had lost weight and throughout the 2 months haven’t gained. She is unclear about her policies she told me I came too early for refills. I can handle criticism and directions to further my weight loss that is not the issue. When working with any professional it is a partnership. I have spent a good amount of money to be treated poorly and talked at. My first visit was better than the second. But again, she did not communicate with me my calorie intake OR when I reschedule for refills. I will continue my weight loss journey with someone who is direct and supportive.

She was very rude and condescending. She made me feel terrible about myself. She cut me off when talking and made hateful comments about my fitness and diet. Would not recommend her at all, unless you enjoy being belittled. As I walked out of my appointment I couldn’t even believe the way I had been treated. Part of me wished I would have went back in to let her know how terrible she was. Never in my life have I encountered a person that has made me feel the way she did. Completely horrified.

She is unfit to be a Doctor! She likes to discourage her patients with 0 respect.

My husband and I have been going to Dr Thomas for about 4 years. Dr Thomas has educated us and helped us with weight loss and with are health. Dr Thomas won’t mask your health problems but she will fix them, She is very professional and so is her staff. I could never say I’ve had a bad experience!

Horibble doctor.

Dr. Thomas was rude, she did not listen to anything I was saying. Each time she would ask me a question and I would go to answer it as soon as I open my mouth she would cut me off. She's very rude, and very much unprofessional. I honestly do not know how she is still in business.. The whole office was very unprofessional minus the very nice lady working the front window when you check in. I wonder why their were posting throughout the office stating "rude or out of control patients will be asked to leave" Someone should ask Dr. Thomas to leave.

It was a bad experience, period! she needs to be more positive and have respect for human dignity.

Dr. Thomas was nice the first two appointments that I had with her. But after a few more I noticed that she was acting aloof during my appointments. The last appointment I had with her was very bad. She was asking me questions and was very condescending. She asked me if I was still taking some of the medications that she prescribed me and when I told her I was not, she flipped out. She did not bother to ask me what I was doing to take care of my health. I had lost 30lbs. and was eating healthy. I did not have any of the issues that I had before when I first saw her. When I told her that she was making me feel uncomfortable and that she hasn't even examined me, she just kept on making comments that I was not being responsible.I should have left the appointment right then, but I let her perform a wellness exam. She said she noticed I was bleeding a little (I was due to start my period in a couple of days) and told me that I have chlamydia. I told her how can she tell just looking and not… testing, and she said she just knew.That completely offended me. As it turns out, I did not have chlamydia. I will never go back to this Dr. Thomas. She is not friendly and she had the nerve to make me even more upset when she didn't have to.And also I want to note that the medical assistants that are employed there are unprofessional. When one of them was drawing blood she didn't wash her hands OR use gloves.The only thing that good about the office is the very kind nurse who is also the office manager.
