HE SAID LUMP WAS NOTHING N DENIED ME MORE TESTING THAN FEELING ME UP FEW MONTHS LATER IM TOLD I HAVE A TUMOR !!! Here’s the story .... Saw him because I found a lump and thought it was a tumor. I tried desperately to get him to feel the lump. he assured me it was nothing and sent me on my way because he felt no lump(even after I put his finger directly on it.) two months later I came back because it got a lot worse. He now saw the “lump” and after a ultra sound said It was a tumor. I am now waiting for more test to see if I need to get said body part removed, ..... I was assured it was nothing and no further testing was done. NOW I MAY LOSE A BODY PART DUE TO THIS GUYS NEGLIGENCE. THIS WAS NOT A MISSED DIAGNOSIS THIS WAS PURE NEGLIGENCE!!! This is not the first time caremount doctors missed something serious. They missed torn cartilage in my hip which will need to be replaced and a botched hernia surgery.

Dr. Axelrod is a very personable and kind man. He is very accurate and detailed in his explanations of my diagnosis. He made me feel very comfortable. He followed up with me the same day and was very thorough on his assessment of my condition. Excellent Urologist. I highly recommend Dr. Axelrod.

He is an awesome physician good bedside manners. He has a knack for making you feel comfortable and that in my opinion is better than any medicine.

If there was an option for negative stars I would be giving that. He totally misdiagnosed the first biopsy and by the time the second biopsy came around it was very bad. Of course we went to Sloan for a second opinion since Dr. Axelrod said he would not recommend any chemo or radiation treatments. It was verified that it was cancer with the very first biopsy. While we were in the office with Dr. Axelrod giving us the results he took 4 phone calls 2 texts read an email and stared out his office window. Definitely get your second opinions before you allow him to do anything

Dr Axelrod's sense of humor immediately put my wife and I at ease when I was diagnosed with kidney cancer. Using the robot, he had me home in a day, with minimal pain. His follow-up was thorough and reassuring. I HIGHLY recommend him as a urologist and surgeon.

Dr. Axelrod orders the most invasive test, when two other urologists agree the test wasn't called for. Then he sent a certified letter warning me to take the test and that I was in danger of prostate cancer. Presumably he sends this to avoid malpractice. I would prefer a doctor who actually practices medicine, and not just orders tests and sends out letters to stay out of trouble.
