I was extremely disappointed with my experience with Dr. Blau. His office is antiquated and dirty. Dr. Blau was rude and dismissive. On the intake form I abbreviated Autoimmune Disease as (AID) and he automatically assumed that I had AIDS and rudely threw my chart on the desk and said "I do not treat AIDS patients". I was dumbfounded and near tears. What a jerk!!!!!

I saw Dr. Blau for approx 1 1/2 years, and he never dx'd me properly. he kept me on Steriods and did not do enough testing or something, because after one visit with another Rheumatologist i was dx'd corectly. Dr. Blau is a nice man but took advantage of someone who is now in worse shape than before i began with him.I am still considering what I will do about this, as i don't want it to happen with someone else.Professionally, a good doctor would have referred me out to another dr, and one who knows what he is doing.

Dr. Blau treated me for a severe onset of Rheumatoid Arthritis and I have been in remission for the last 6 years do to his efforts. Thanks Dr. Blau- you really helped me get my life back

I think the first thing you will notice is the office is a bit run down. Dont let this detour you though. These are some of the best Rheumatologists on Long Island. Fantastic group you wont be let down. Though hopefully one day they take some time away from medicine to fix up the office a bit :) Dr. Blau is extremely knowledgeable and thorough. He is one of the few doctors I have been to that spends the needed time & attention to get the job done right.

Dr. Blau is wonderful but his Massapequa office is disgusting--a dirty, antiquated mess. He should really do something about it. Every person I know who's been treated by him has commented to me what a fine doctor he is, but how gross his office is. It's really a shame.
