Dr. Sheldon Richard Fayner, MD

This office is stuck in the dark ages when it comes to communicating with pharmacies. They do not have any kind of electronic system set up to address refill requests or other questions that a pharmacist might have. If the pharmacy sends an electronic fax, the front desk (Kathleen - more about her later) will say they didn’t receive it. And when you complain to Dr Fayner about that in private, he says its the pharmacy’s fault and he tries to get you to change all your prescriptions to a personal friend - I haven’t investigated but I think that might be illegal. As a care provider, Dr Fayner is ok but not great - he spends more time talking to his computer screen than to the patient and often misses key items (example, he may give you verbal dosage instructions but then he won’t write those instructions on the scrip causing further delays with meds). He also refused my request for a referral to an ENT stating that his office could handle the issue — they couldn’t and I ended up… spending a fortune to go to an ENT without a referral (but at least that doctor was equipped to handle the issue). Then there is the aforementioned Kathleen at the front desk - this person has no business working in any kind of position that deals with customers (patients ARE customers). Kathleen is rude, cuts off patients that are trying to voice concerns, violates HIPAA by discussing private patient issues in a very loud voice which everyone in the reception area can hear, and will hang up on patients calling to ask why prescription refill authorization requests from their pharmacies have not received a response. Others at the front desk are acceptable. The best thing about this practice is the nurses that see you in the exam rooms for history, vitals, blood draws, etc. - they are caring and personable.

I have been going to Dr. Fayner for several years. He is very professional and knows what he is doing to help patients with their medical problems. My son had TB and doctor Fayner put him in the hospital right away to get better. I do not like the office staff they can be rude to me at times. Kathleen is the office manager and she is rude at times from the stress and pressure from serving too many patients. I try different doctors out but I always come back to Dr. Fayner because he has experience and has medical knowledge The referrals most of the time are mailed to me within a reasonable time frame. Also Dr. Fayners weight program works If you follow it exactly, I lost 20 pounds in 1 month from it. Sometimes Dr. Fayner can be moody but everyone has hard days and can be tired. Note to staff ... when your AC is out and people in waiting room are hot. You don't continuously say you are hot too. If you do not like to serve others why are you in this line of work? When a good samaritan brings water to the people waiting in the waiting room, you don't take some for yourselves. You had just come from lunch. I'm sure you had water. You also had fans only for you. A good office manager would have got fans and water on their 2 hour lunch for the waiting room. Also do I get part of your paycheck for having to call and ask you to do your job so many times? Wow!!! horrible service. Gave them a second chance. The office staff was still very rude, condescending and unhelpful. Kathleen was the worst and Monica is not much better. The doctor at least apologized for their actions.

Staff is great! Dr fayner has a god complex and has no people skills!

The absolute WORSE experience I ever had! Front desk help (KATHLEEN) is unprofessional, rude, overbearing and hateful. From the moment I stepped into the office she attempted to extort money from me (wanted my â??firstâ?? visit co-pay to be $75 when itâ??s only $30). I was told the doctor REQURIES every new patient to have blood work done. I agreed and then was told itâ??s $35 to draw blood. My ins. pays 100% lab work, which I informed her. She said it was the lab fees from the office. The Dr. suggested I have a PSA done (prostrate cancer runs in my family) and I agreed, only to find out that Kathleen wanted another $30 to run that test! When I refused to pay the $65 she became belligerent and told me if I didnâ??t pay their fee then I would get a BIG bill from the lab because my insurance wonâ??t pay for everything. I said they would and she asked: Do you *really* want to take that chance? If I pay their fee, anything my insurance wonâ??t pay, Dr. Fayner would pay. I… told her Iâ??d take my chances. To get even with me she deliberately miscoded some of the work so that Iâ??d get a bill from the lab for $68 (the â??labâ?? work was for a sinus infection which they didnâ??t do). I called to get it corrected and after accusing me of trying to get her to change the codes so that I wouldnâ??t have to pay for my lab work, she rudely hung up on me. I have a dispute with my insurance company and I also make a complaint with the State Medical Board. Thereâ??s a LOT more to this story but you get the idea. Hitler could take lessons from this b!tch. BTW: While waiting in the exam room or in the lobby I heard her discussing patient information with either the patient or fellow office workers. BEWAREâ?¦

I have been with Dr fayner for almost 7 yrs.To me for the most part he is vary good on what he dose. Every one has a bad day.I would referr him to anyone who would ask. Good job everyone.

i really liked all the staff, especially monica she was a cutie. they all are very nice and helpful. To see the dr. is a wait but it is totally worth the wait.

I liked my experience with this doctors office. There are other docs there so the waiting room is sometimes filled. I've been there 6 times and only once I had to wait a long time but it was also a Monday morning..so don't go on a Mon unless u have to. Referrals are prompt but follow ups are on my own..

Dr. Fayner is amazing. My life has changed 100% since the first day I met him and I will be forever grateful. His staff is top notch also. Thanks Dr. Fayner and staff.
