Ridiculous wait time 4 freaking hours

4 hour of wait time before you have ur 1st exam out of 3 exams then wait met the doctor

New York Eye Care and Dr. Rabin has absurd wait times. I waited slightly over two hours and hadn't gotten any further than filling out the initial paperwork. Apparently they are cohorts with Queens Optical Center who share the same space. A part of the appointment is to be seen by the optometrist before any additional testing and actually getting to see the doctor himself. However, again... over two hours and I hadn't been seen by anyone. I asked a front-desk associate how much longer the wait would be. I was told she would check and she never did. Finally upon complaining I was told I was next to be seen by the optometrist. I asked how much longer would it be to see Dr. Rabin afterwards and was told 2 to 3 hours. A 4 to 5 hour wait time to see any doctor is obnoxiously ridiculous. You could fly across the country in that time. It shows that Dr. Rabin, like many doctors, is nothing more than money hungry and has his staff drastically over book his schedule. Furthermore, the staff seems… to lack professionalism, friendliness, and courteousness. Oh and lest I forget, there are signs posted that read, "No food or drinks." However, they don't even have so much as a water cooler/fountain for their patients. Additionally, the wait room is rickety, dated, and unkempt. Go at your own risk!

the office has always treated me and concern for my eyesight professionally and have gone out of their way to check complication possibilities i didn't know existed

I have been to many community clinics over the years and this has got to be one of the worse,very unorganized, unprofessional, and Ghetto!!! I would love to know where they hire thier staff. I came in with my mother for what I thought was a consultation and left feeling attacked by the hood. They hang out in the hallways on thier phones,the Dr.sits in his office with the shakes for his next drink. Please if you have a brain and any knowledge on how things are supposed to be done you will not be welcomed here. They are intimidated by educated people who ask questions
