Dr. Ankrah was born and raised in Deep Run, a small town located in eastern North Carolina. After completing her schooling, Dr. Ankrah worked for six years at the Children's Hospital and Research Center Oakland as an attending physician with the pediatric residency primary care program before moving to Charlotte with her family. She was involved with teaching and observing residents as they rotated through the primary care clinic. While in Oakland, Dr. Ankrah's special interests included pediatric advocacy and exploring multicultural approaches to healthcare. Since joining Novant Health Elizabeth Pediatrics in 2007, Dr. Ankrah has enjoyed exploring the facets of Charlotte living. She enjoys spending time with her husband and children. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, attending her sons' soccer games and completing small home projects.

Although we moved a bit far from the area we kept Dr. Ankrah as our pediatrician because she is really wonderful. Aside from being an excellent doctor, she has fantastic bed manners and goes out of her way to accommodate the patient and the family. She always had a smile on and has a great sense of humor, which also helps! I highly recommend her!!

Dr. Ankrah is a wonderful doctor. I like how she doesn't immediately go to meds and she's very conservative with her prescriptions. I like to err on the side of "see what happens" vs. over prescribing and it seems she's aligned with that. Very caring. My child is anxious around people outside of the family but she puts him at ease.

Dr Ankrah is grrreeeeat!! She is very responsive, listens, caring, and I feel very comfortable with her. When I found out that I was having another child, it was undeniable who her pediatrician would be, and that will soon be a year ago! She is great with both my son and daughter. I love the fact that I have someone that I can have full confidence that she knows what is best for my children's health and I don't have to worry. So DON'T think twice about choosing a pediatrician....DR ANKRAH all the way! And I am a verrry picky mother when it comes to my kids, so it takes alot to impress and she did it at hello when she greeted my son!

Dr. Ankrah is a caring and attentive doctor. She is very knowlegable but not condescending when sharing that knowledge. You can just tell she loves helping children feel better!

Our twins were 26 week preemies and have had various medical needs since birth. Dr. Ankrah has a great bedside manner, takes a lot of time with us, and really cares about our twins. She goes out of her way to make sure they are getting the care they need, even calling me personally on occasion. We couldn't ask for a better, more caring doctor!
