Dr. Shelley Loren Franklin, MD

Dr. Franklin is one of the most caring doctors that I have ever met. She has taken very good care of me. We have had many scary appointments of the years but she has always been there for me in every way!

One of the reasons Dr. Franklin has a wait time is because she takes time to listen to her patients. She explains possible options and answers questions. I don't feel like I have to rush to get through my appointment.

I've been to Dr. Franklin off and on for about 7 years. The last few months I've had terrible eczema outbreaks and have had a difficult time with treatments due to being pregnant. I realize that pregnancy complicates treatment options, but every treatment failed to bring relief to my condition, and the last treatment made things much much worse. I've called twice to speak with staff about things getting worse, and was told, "you can come in if you want, but there's nothing else she can do for you." They had communicated earlier in my pregnancy with my OBGYN to get approval for an oral medication, and when I recently asked a staff member about revisiting the oral medication option, the response was, "well why doesn't your OB just prescribe it to you?" I have often felt like the visits were very rushed, and at this point am being made to feel like my chronic skin condition is a nuisance to them. Regardless of whether or not there are any other treatment options, I would think that… because I am pregnant, she would at least want to monitor my condition, especially since her last treatment plan exasperated the problem. I have felt utterly hopeless at times, and no patient should ever be made to feel that way by their Dr.

The cost of minor procedures is too high. A very simple procedure to freeze off a small growth costs $140. The procedure took about one minute, so that's $140 PER MINUTE!! I don't care if that is the going price. It shouldn't be.

Dr Franklin and her assistants are the best of all the dermatologists I have visited.
