Dr. Shelleyanne E Giddings

We normally see another dr. at Kelsey that we love, however, she wasn't available so we saw Dr. Giddings. From the moment we walked in the door she had an air about her (which I tried to ignore, because hey, we all don't make great first impressions). Sure enough, from the first question she was condescending and adversarial. She did send my daughter to the hospital for an appendectomy, which was correct, I will give her that. At the same time, I don't think that's hard diagnosis for any MD. My primary issue with her, is her manner, which is all in her tone and expression, and not just to me, but also my daughter. I resent being treated like I'm a bad parent because I didn't know my daughter had an appendicitis. If she knew anything about us she would know, lower abdominal pain is something she gets all the time (3 previous er trips) . I certainly don't blame her for not knowing but I do take issue with her assuming I'm negligent in my parenting. Regardless of her treatment of… me, she was the same with my daughter, I can't imagine that is too helpful if the issue is sensitive in the least.

We experienced a very poor service from this Doctor. She was not in the slightest interested in my son's autism or the impact it has on his life or his struggles. She has a forceful confrontational manner with patients and their parents. Very arrogant, ignorant woman. We won't be seeing her again.

I have gone to Dr. Giddings now for almost 4 years with both my sons We love her! She is always patient and listens to my sons unending stories. I completely disagree that she just writes a prescription for everything. In my opinion, she is very good about requesting "natural remedies" instead of just throwing antibiotics at you. I feel she is also very responsible with vaccinations. She can be straight to the point, but that works well with our personalities, so it's perfect! I would definitely recommend!

My teenage son was having some dizzy spells upon rising from a sitting position. Made an appointment to see dr. Giddings. Easy to get in and not a long wait at all. The staff was very polite and courteous. However when I meet dr. Giddings I was taken back by her lack of bedside manner. She was very condescending to my son. Was questioning his schooling and intelligence. My son is slow to respond and process questions that asked of him. He was by now means being rude to her. But she was asking him how many ounces in a gallon. And when he did not respond quickly enough she asked him where he went to school and well this doesn't say much about our school system. When she left the room I asked him what he thought of her and he said she made home feel stupid. I was soo mad at myself for not just getting up and leaving when I first felt her belittling my son. She has no business working with young children.

Dr. Giddings is great, she was caring with my daughter she even changed her diaper. She spent about 10 minutes with me. She was nice to both my daughters. She responded to my concerns about my baby. She seems to know what she is doing. I really like her. The staff was friendly specially the nurse.

Spends very little time with patients and throws antibiotics at them without much explanation to parents about their symptoms. Not friendly with my children. At my daughter's annual well-visit, she sent the nurse in to give her 5 shots before she did her lab work or hearing and eye tests. This cause us to have to come back on two separate occasions to get that done. Then, her office failed to file our appointments correctly with our insurance, causing all kinds of issues! Needless to say, we are finding another doctor!
