Dr. Shelly Collins

Shelly Collins, O.D. received her Doctor of Optometry magna cum laude from the University of Houston’s College of Optometry in 1993. She also earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology magna cum laude while attending the University of Houston. She was a member of Psi Chi, the International Honor Society in Psychology, and Beta Sigma Kappa, the International Optometric Honor Society. Dr. Collins has been practicing optometry since 1993 and specializes in LASIK, corneal cross-linking, and cataract surgical co management, as well as glaucoma treatment, myopia control, and specialty contact lenses. She is a Therapeutic Optometrist and Certified Glaucoma Specialist who is active in the American Optometric Association, the Texas Optometric Association, the Central Texas Optometric Society, and Equality Texas. Dr. Collins loves helping people, and her career in optometry gives her the opportunity to do so in a very impactful way. She believes good vision is one of our most important …senses, and she finds it extremely rewarding to help patients maintain good ocular health and vision. She always enjoys the excitement and look of joy on her patients’ faces when they see clearly for the first time!
