Dr. Plaisted is the pediatrician for my 3 children. She is very thorough, responsive, helpful, and has a great bedside manner with both my younger child and my tweens. I am really happy we found her!

Dr. Plaisted acted strangely when my wife and I questioned a recommendation she made for our daughter (7). She was so angry and sarcastic that we quietly ended the appointment and changed pediatricians later in the week. Not sure what was going on that day.

Dr. Plaisted misdiagnosed my 2 year old daughter with epileptic seizures. When my wife and I re-scheduled a follow up appointment, Dr. Plaisted contacted the Child Abuse hotline and reported that we were “defying” (her words) her medical authority and that my daughter was in “life threatening” danger. Two subsequent examinations by a pediatric neurologist and another pediatrician at SHARP proved Dr. Plaisted was wrong about her diagnosis. Without a word of explanation or apology, Dr. Plaisted slithered off, incompetent and seemingly unaccountable. As a result we filed a complaint against her medical license with the Medical Board of California. If you love your children, avoid this woman.
