Dr. Sherman Rubin, MD

Dr. Rubin is an awesome guy, he is nice, friendly and easy going. It's easy to talk to him even though he's a guy. I just really hate the wait time on their busy days on the weekend. I also hate that they want me to come in for follow up's if nothing is wrong. I would prefer if they call and say your ok nothings wrong, if their is something wrong to call me in for a convo or pick up an Rx if necessary, I hate paying a co-pay for a 5 min conversation. I'm too poor to be spending money on 5 mins.

I have seen Dr. Rubin a couple of times and I don't feel comfortable with him. He tends to talk over you when you are explaining what your issue is and sometimes makes jokingly inappropriate comments. It may not be intentional but he sometimes comes off as arrogant. He needs a refresher course on how to deal with patients, especially if they are particularly concerned about why they had to pay a visit to a GYN. I go to another doctor within the practice but have since avoided making any appointments with him specifically.

He is a very nice, happy and friendly doctor. However, he jokes around too much when any concerns or issues are brought up to him. He needs reminders of why you are visiting because he has a tendency to forget his patients reason of visit. I am expecting my first child and I wish he could have been more informative and serious when I asked questions. He always made a joke and repeated the same thing in every visit I had.He can do better!

This Dr did not give me even 5 minutes to talk about my issues, which could have prevented me from going through unnecessary procedures. He makes jokes out of issues I tried to bring up, and makes light of situations that may have been important to me. I have been suffering with infertility for almost 2 years now, and all he wants to do is load me up on meds. After a procedure that left me in a lot of pain I told him I was soar for over 5 days he says" strange that doesn't happen to most people" and just disregarded it. I do not recommend this doctor, especially if you have fertility issues.
