I saw this woman 13 years ago. She was practicing oncology! Happy she is OUT OF THAT!!! NOT A GOOD BEDSIDE MANNER. TOLD ME I ONLY HAD 5 YEARS TO LIVE. SHE HAD NO BUSINESS TREATING ME!!! SHE SHOULD HAVE RECOGNIZED HER LIMITATIONS AND REFERRED ME OUT INSTEAD OF DENYING REIRDERING MY CHEMO BECAUSE I "ONLY HAD 5 YEARS". (BASICALLY, HAD I JUST WALKED OUT OF HER OFFICE AND NOT BEEN SO MAD SHE SAID THAT IN FRONT OF MY 7 YEAR OLD!!! I WENT FOR SECOND OPINION!!! BACK ON CHEMO AND I'M STILL KICKING!!!

She is compassionate and knowledgeable. She was conservative in her methods and did not over treat me with super harsh drugs. We took baby steps and sent my cancer into remission without putting me through unnecessary treatments. I would recommend her to ANYONE!!! Her Nurse is another amazing story........

My family member has a rather rare cancer. Dr Durika has not kept up with new research and treatment of this cancer and in fact my spouse researches the new research and informs her of what he has found. The Dr. told my spouse last fall ( 2012) that there was really nothing she could do for him after he didn't respond to a chemo treatment. He experienced increasing exhaustion and other symptoms and when he mentioned this at a follow up visit, she seemed annoyed by his concerns. This is a quote form the Dr. Durika, told more than once to my spouse, ( the first time before he was even diagnosed and then recently) ; " People get tired as they age." My spouse then went to an prominent oncologist in large city in another state for a second opinion and was told he needed emergency treatment and was put on a drug that has helped him immensely. I highly recommend a second opinion for everyone but do not recommend this Dr.

Dr. Durica saved my life! She is kind, brilliant & always willing to go the extra mile. She offers great advice & has the best bedside manner of any Dr. that I have ever known. I trust her above all other Drs. She has even come to see me while I was hospitalized under the care of another Dr. I cannot say enough good things about her or recommend her highly enough. She is simply the BEST!

This doctor didnt not admit to not knowing about the specific cancer I had.. I was in 4th stage. was given too much chemo. bedside manners to be desired.
