Dr. Sherri S Vaughn, MD

We appreciate Dr. Vaughn. She spends ample time with us, answers our questions, communicates effectively how we can manage our medical issues, and is able to schedule any tests we need. When we have a test, her nurse calls us promptly with the results. Dr. Vaughn has a vast knowledge of family medicine and great connections with competent specialists when we need them. We trust Dr. Vaughn and would highly recommend her.

I found Dr. Vaughn to be rude and very unprofessional! After explaining my symptoms to Dr. Vaughn she said she would get lab work & call me with the results-she didn't I had to call her & was told everything was normal, when my lab work was posted on the patient portal I saw that my lab work wasn't normal & I had several levels over the normal range. I called the office to see when I needed to make a follow-up appointment & was told I didn't need another appointment. I continued to feel worse so I went to another Doctor who repeated my lab work-plus added a few she felt were needed because of my symptoms. My lab work again came back with several levels over the normal range-and showed that I am a diabetic, which I am now being treated for & am feeling much better. Had I believed Dr. Vaughn's diagnosis & not gotten care from another-more competent provider I know my health would have continued to get worse! I don't know why Dr. Vaughn continues to take new patients when she obviously… is unable to take care of the patients she currently has. I would never go to or recommend this Doctor to anyone.

Dr. Vaughn was arrogant, pushy, rude, and "insisted upon" a colonoscopy even before I was able to tell her why I was there- to have blood thyroid levels checked. My thyroid symptoms (for which I have been treated for 30 years) had suddenly and frighteningly escalated, and I was searching for a doctor that would take me seriously and refer me to a specialist if needed. Instead, Dr. Vaughn belittled me, made me cry, ignored my actual symptoms, and told me that I was untrustworthy, since she had not been sent my prior medical records. This was the worst doctoring experience i have ever had.

Great Dr. I have been seeing her a long time and I have never had any problems. She actually listens and takes her time.

I no longer see this physician. She, on three occasions, was very rude to me, once after having to wait for her for almost an hour. Also, she insisted on a diagnosis that the blood work didn't indicate.

Dr. Vaughn did not care at all when I came into her office and I have spoken with many other people who agree that she has little to no compassion or bedside manner. I cried after my visit with her because she made me feel so humiliated. She didn't make eye contact during the whole visit and did not even touch my tumor location. She refused to give me a scan because she didn't think it was necessary and after I told her that I would really like one, she told me that if the lump was still there in six months I should go to an orthopedist and not her. Two weeks after my appt. with her I was diagnosed with cancer. If I had waited six months, what would have happened. And it breaks my heart to think that people have taken advice from her and perhaps risked their lives doing so. I would suggest that people do not go to her, but I have recently learned that she is vice-president at LMH which has left me and others in complete shock. Although, based on first impressions and that one… visit, I believe that she probably wanted to get away from people and go toward the business side. Truly the epitome of an uncaring physician. I hope only the best for her and I hope that she has had an eye-opening experience to encourage to become a more compassionate person. We all have our weaknesses and bad days, but I believe that her behavior was far beyond that and upon sharing my story with others, I have learned that I am not the only person who has been treated this way by her. But as I said before, I have faith that life will encourage her to be a more caring person.
