Dr. Sherry Lynn Franklin, MD

Dr Sherry is an awesome doctor! She took excellent care of me growing up! We still stay in contact and she is still willing to answer questions and tell me what to do!

Dr. Franklin is an amazing Dr. She is very smart and knows exactly what she is doing. Best Dr. ever. She has helped my son so much. Thank you!

Not happy with Dr Franklin. She seems very disconnected. Will prescribe pills but that's about it. Not interested in anything else that can help the patient.

My daughter was diagnosed with Hashimoto's (and also has another auto immune issue). At my first visit, she was very pleasant and kind towards us and nice to my daughter. She suggested my daughter go on Synthroid. I was concerned about the side effects of Synthroid esp hair loss, and that it only replaces T4 and not T3. I asked her about Armour thyroid and she said Ok that's fine, if that's what you prefer. I also asked if there was anything else we could do to support her (with diet, supplements, etc). We didn't get any suggestions other than a Mediterranean diet. Next visit, I asked about gluten and it's relationship to the thyroid. I wanted to know what she thought of gluten free. I also told her we were seeing an allergist to clear her of food allergies (which has really helped). She just gave a dismissive smile and typed on her keyboard, telling me I can do it if I want to. On our last and final visit, I again asked what else we could be doing. Her labs were way off-- which… suggested that my daughter was either not taking her medication, or the medication needs to be increased. She made my daughter feel like a liar. Then she commented that if "we (as adults) were this hypo-thyroid, we'd be dead!!" and then laughed. My daughter cried all the way home, afraid she might die. I asked my daughter to leave the room and attempted some type of dialogue with Dr F, letting her know that I felt she was being dismissive of me when I asked about gluten, supplements, heavy metal toxicity, leaky gut,--- all things that can impact the auto-immune system. She said she didn't mean to come across that way. But again, she just smirks and doesn't discuss. Says there isn't any data out there to support my thinking. I told her I disagreed. She then said, "exactly. So what's the point of discussing it?" I stood up and left. I am educated and I will do anything to help my daughter. I came to her for help, not attitude. I am so very disappointed with her. She did not impress my husband AT ALL. The only thing she has done for my daughter is look at lab values and write a prescription. As a parent, if you have any other suggestions, she will not entertain them. I won't be back.

Warn any parent against taking their child to Dr. Franklin.My 8 year old son had been under the care of a Ped Endo on the east coast since age 5 for short stature&possible pituitary dwarfism. Dr. Franklin never acknowledged he was in the room nor did she open his chart from his previous doctor.Condescending in response to my concerns citing genetics.I left her office believing I was a horrible parent because I wanted my child to fit in and not living life teased and bullied.My son said was scary.

Dr. Franklin does not connect to her patients very well. She doesn't listen, and interacts with patients like she is reading from a script.

LOVE Dr. Franklin! Not only is she an awesome person, but a great doctor. She gave me a diagnosis and put me on birth control to get my hormones in sync. She had me on Ocella and took me off of it right in time once studies came out about terrible side effects that occurred in some people that took it. She'd always do thorough check-ups from then on out. Very alert and knowledgable. :)

Dr. Franklin answered all of our questions and was very attentive toward our daughter. She explained the pros and cons of the medicines and procedures we were considering for our daughter.

Dr. Franklin and the staff are awesome. The best office you'll ever find. First of all I don't have to wait for an hour like some offices. Second of all, the staff are always so kind and helpful. And most importantly Dr. Franklin is thoughtful, sweet, giving, and always there for us. We always feel welcomed when my daughter and I step in her office. They make us feel like family not like the next number waiting in line. LOVE DR. FRANKLIN AND THE STAFF!!
