Dr. Sherryl Denese Hinton, MD

I went to Dr. Hinton because I missed cycle for 2 months and had repeated negative pregnancy tests. Dr. Hinton took a urine pregnancy test and told my husband and I we were pregnant. She also did an enteral exam. She assured my husband and I that we were in fact expecting a child. She also went so far as to give us a due date and set up follow up appointments as the "pregnancy progressed". A week later she called and said we were not pregnant. There was no apology. I was told that it is office policy when asked why she did not confirm with a blood test before telling my husband and I we were pregnant after we told her repeatedly that we had issues getting pregnant and a history of pregnancy loss. This has been one of the most heart breaking experiences i have had with a "Doctor" in my life. I would not recommend that people go to her or deal with her office. In addition this makes it very hard for me to trust in the personnel at the DMC Medical Group.

Dr. Hinton is the best at what she does, she has delivered my last three children with great compassion and grace. She has been my Obgyn since 2002, I wouldn't change my doctor for the world. Her staff if great!!!

I was impressed at the attention she paid. She made sure she answered all my questions and concerns.I had a concern and she saw me early and sent me for an ultrasound. The doctor I was originally would not see me for another 3 weeks even though i told his office I had bleeding and was concerned about a miscarriage.

Every visit seems like she's always in a rush. No compassion or concern about your feelings. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL staff.

I received very attentive care from Dr. Hinton during my 2007 pregnancy and continue to see her. She was very attentive when I unexpectedly needed a c-section and even though it was well past midnight when I finally delivered my son, she took the time to suture me (marvelously) herself and dismissed the resident on hand.

She was okay as a GYN, but when I was pregnant I didn't get the feeling that she cared. Too laid back. The waits are ridiculous in that office, and she didn't explain (nor seem to recognize) my symptoms. I later switched to an awesome OBGYN who recongnized what was overlooked by Dr. Hinton's office. She didn't seem to take things too seriously, and I later found out those things could have caused a miscarriage.
