Dr. Shevonda Trisha Sherrow, MD

I had a very frustrating experience with the billing department. After my surgery, both my primary insurance and BlueCare (TennCare) paid, and my patient responsibility was confirmed as $0. Despite this, the office has continued to withhold a significant portion of my payment without a clear explanation. Communication has been extremely difficult. The office manager has been unavailable, and front desk staff have stated the situation was already explained without providing actual clarification. I would strongly recommend that anyone receiving care here closely review their billing statements and insurance processing. This situation should have been resolved properly, and it’s disappointing that it required multiple calls and escalation just to get answers.

There is always a wait for Dr. Sherrow, but she is worth it.

This is one of the most knowledgable doctors in her field. She really discusses EVERYTHING with you and makes you feel part of the process. I had a gazillion questions about having a hysterectomy and she had no problem answering each and everyone( I actually had typed a list of them up LOL). She was caring and straightfoward. She has been performing hysterectomies she stated for 9 years, about 3 a week, and has never lost a patient. She uses cutting edge technology( my surgery was performed laproscopically assited by DaVinci a robotic surgical assistant) and also has patients stay overnight to watch for complications at the hospital, rather than sending patients home the same day. Research has shown that patients are most likely to develope complications in the first 24 hours so this additional stay eased mine and my families minds. I would reccommend her to any one requiring a OB GYN specialist or just for the typical paps and such.
