Dr. Sheyla Elizabeth Villena Gallardo, MD

If Sheyla Villena were the last physician on earth, I wouldn’t set foot in an exam room with her again. She was arrogant, condescending and dismissive of my concerns and showed no compassion. She is the prime example of the phrase “Just because someone makes it through medical school doesn’t mean they should become a doctor.” She may have the education, but this woman has no business being a doctor.

I had to see Dr Villena when my PCP was on maternity leave. Dr Villena was rude, insensitive, belittling and offensive. She did not review my chart before we met for my physical exam, and then spent the entire visit asking me questions about my past medical history, which was all listed on MyChart for her to review. My visit was for a physical exam, which she was aware of, but without my knowledge or consent Dr Villena decided to bill my visit for both a physical exam and a sick visit (which costs much more due to my insurance plan). She did not treat me for any new symptoms (ie: sick/office visit req's) and when she asked how I was doing and I told her I was struggling with losing weight and asked if it could be due to approaching menopause age, she told me I was "obese", "so what do I expect?" As an active person with past history of eating disorder + mental health issues, Dr Villena does not know how to care for her patients.
