Summary
I am a native Southern Californian who grew up knowing that practicing medicine is something I have always wanted to do. Growing up as an athlete, I wound up in the ER quite a bit, and I can recall my childhood fascination with healing. I still remember being 7 years old with a horrible arm fracture, in the operating room, trying to stay awake to be able to watch what the doctors were doing—needless to say, the next thing I remember is waking up with a cast on my arm!
