Dr. Shirley Ann Nagel, MD

I had a Dr. Appointment for Dr. Nagel at 3:30 pm. I arrived at 3:10, received the paperwork at the check in window and returned the paperwork at 3:15 pm. The receptionist stated that we needed to reschedule the appointment. She then stated that my appointment was at 3:30 pm. I looked at my watch and saw it was 3:15 pm. and she stated that yeah it is not yet 3:30, but I was suppose to be at the office at 3:00 pm. I stated it would have been nice to know this when I made the appointment. She then informed me that someone will be calling me to reschedule. I asked her why cant I reschedule it now. She said that someone will be contacting me. I feel as if this is a message saying don't call us we will call you. Three days later, no one has contacted me. When I got home and my wife has arrived home, she informed me that the Dr's office left her a VM the same day stating that I needed to be at the Dr. Appointment at 3:00 pm. Based off of other comments on this forum I don't… think the Dr. cares one bit.

Dr. Nagel and her Assistants, nurses and office staff tell their elderly patients not to go to the emergency room, no matter what kind of pain they are in or high their blood pressure is! They would rather them suffer with the issues and wait for an office appointment. This is the third time that this has happened with my elderly mother. This office is more worried about them getting the money than the emergency room. Now they are telling their patients to use the walk in clinic that THEY just opened. To be an adult medicine practice they are not very good with the 80+ adults.

Dr Nagle is negligent and hires incompetent REVOLVING door " help" to take the place of a phycisian while she can't be bothered to SHOW UP TO THE OFFICE! I've been at the office with the same illness as my mother, asked how many others have it " none" ... same assistant SAW US BOTH. Other times I am told we have a spot today for you to come I for medication refill... then no... you MUST see doctor. How about tomorrow? Sure, I say. Get there... no doctor.. they say " you don't HAVE an appointment with the doctor" I explain it is for a refill...the assistant then will disappear... come back with HALF A REFILL. What is it MAGIC? is she hiding? Next I came in for another evaluation, Shirley Nagle AGAIN NEVER showed. Again another incompetent assistant of unknown skill... tells me BECAUSE I AM <<< NOT ON PAIN MEDICATIONS>>> Not told I'm having problems to warrant help needed I state... even though my MRIs. ... for the PAST 8 YEARS!!! shows sever spinal stenosis, scoliosis, numb leg, hip,… foot tingling and osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, and scoliosis ... that I do not warrant a HP tag ( I cannot lift a gallon of milk). I have tried to put up with the incompetence and unprofessionalism of this office for too long. The last visit was the last straw. They collect over $200 per visit. Another time they told me I would have to make A SECOND APPOINTMENT , because they were limited to NO MORE THAN 15 MINUTES!. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE OFFICE. Avoid this office. Go to someone that puts PATIENT CARE OVER $$$$.

Was very disappointed after 3 visits finally saw the doctor. No one ever looks up at there so busy on the computers. After the ,4th visit I canceled the next 3 appts because the exam room was so dirty. The only thing accomplish was up-to-date blood test. What a shame.

Have been a patient of Dr. Nagels for approximately 18 years. My experience has always been highly positive ; 18 years of EXCELLENT CARE.

Dr. Nagel's Office has recently replaced certain office staff personnel and since then their quality of care has gone down exponentially. Not calling patients back with test result in a timely matter, incorrect prescriptions or dosage mistakes and a very unfriendly front office staff. I would not recommend this office.

The Doctor and all the Assistants are very professional and caring. The service is excellent and provided with minimum waittime. I have referred several friends all of whom have had positive experiences. Been coming here for three years. Most services are at the office, but when referred to specialist, have been pleased with them as well. Mostly women work here.

The worst doctor ever been too--- did not spend time with me, no bedside manner. All she wanted to do is run unnecessary tests did not listen to my questions. I would not recommend her at ALL!

I saw Dr. Nagel when she was first starting out, she was top notch. Unfortunately, you wait 3 to 4 months to see her. I failed to get a female exam because appt. sec'y. failed to note that in her schedule so I was denied after awaiting 4 mo. Now it is 3 more months. If you are sick you probably won't see the nurse practioner you normally see. In one year, two I liked left. I was "forgotten for 2 1/2 hours one time". Getting records is a challenge! Most of staff is pleasant but continuity in care is great weakness. One N.PR. was very difficult, challenging me about a minor request, disregarding my past medical history.
