Dr. Shirley Zhang Young, MD

Terrible experience. My wife is an existing patient who needed a prescription refill. Standard practice for any ongoing treatment. The staff at the office first asked her to pay $250 despite us being insured just to see the doctor(which she didnt need as its a long standing ongoing non controlled prescription),. She called back to ask for a if they could just refill it and they said "go find a new doctor" . Shes been a patient for a few years and never had an issue until today. To be clear, the doctor is good, but the office staff is terrible. Until they are gone, its impossible to recommend.

I’ve been Dr. Young’s patient for over 8 years and at every visit she always is receptive to my concerns and spends appropriate time to explain how to treat my problems. She is very patient and kind and around her I feel comfortable sharing anything and she will listen with a nonjudgmental, open mind. Can’t recommend her enough

I called Dr. Young's office for a preventive visit and got an appointment within a week. Dr. Young was courteous and explained to me the importance of getting certain tests at my age which can be used as benchmarks for future diagnoses. She also answered all my questions and responded to my concerns. The wait time at her office was only about five minutes, and her staff were very friendly.

Gave me medication for pain that I did not know would make me sleepy. Although, I did not know it would make me sleepy, I asked for a doctor's note to stay off work for an additional day in case pain persisted. She said "I will give you a note for today". When I realize I had to stay home the next day because I could not drive when I took the medication, I was not happy. Why would she give me the meds that gave a warning-do not drive, but yet expect me to go to work. Also, the diagnosis was grossly inaccurate. Recommended surgery and 2nd opinion from another Dr, stated it was not necessary.

I really don't know how she got her degree. She treats her kind better than others. She is the worst doctor ever. Wont ever recommend her and wont ever go back.
