this doctor doesn't seem to take things seriously I've been suffering for almost 2 years and I get no answers even though my EMG showed nerve problem I've begged for help to get to the problem of my pain and inflammation but still to this day nothing doing i know he also works for workmens comp. But it shouldn't be against patients condition it should be a honest discussion I'm in pain everyday and if I try to use my arm where the pain shoots down from my neck the pain worsen. Its a shame how in America one has to be treated in this type of way. That is all I need to say.

Excellent surgeon. Never feel rushed. Great at listening and explanations. There might be a long wait in the waiting room but I attribute it to the fact he does not rush his patients out the door.

Dr. W and his staff are wonderful. They always provide quality care and attention to their patients.

I’ve had a handful of appointments with him over the past year and every single time the wait is over an hour! Even early in the morning. It’s impossible to schedule follow up appointments within the timeframe he recommends due to his scheduling with his staff. You will wait close to or over an hour for him to come into the exam room, and after all the waiting he spends no more than about 5 minutes talking to you. So far I have had no resolution to my medical issue. He clearly doesn’t value his patients time - there is nothing more frustrating then sitting around and waiting an hour just for him to quickly leave the room without listening to your concerns and problems. Save your time - go somewhere else.

I have had many surgeries, Dr. W made this one easy. Extended my fusion was not easy but he and his team are amazing

Dr. Wijesekera is the best spine doctor. great results after surgery. Very respectful and will take all the time you need. Told me how my surgery will go and what to expect. I highly recommend Dr. Wijseskera.

If you have workmans comp. this doctor won't even pay you any mind! Under different circumstances? Who knows ! Dealt with this dr for a year. Till I told him I would not be coming back. Would not recommend if you have a work injury. !

The doctor relieved the pain I was feeling down my left buttocks to my left foot. Super polite and respectful. Open with his conversation on my issues. Left decision to me after completely explaining my situation. He is my guy going forward with any orthopedic issues. Gave me email for any questions or concerns post-op. An his nurse Ellen is phenomenal. She is always there if you need anything. I have never been to a hospital except as a visitor. They made it great. Btw Yale New Haven Hospital staff was awesome as well.

I went for an MRI on a Friday night an hour after it was completed I received a phone call from Dr Wijesekera. He had not been my doctor previously but he told me that based on the findings I was going to need to see a spine doctor. Although I was scared and ended up with surgery he was wonderful.

Extremely gentle and easy going, with no attitude, prejudgement or ego issues as opposed to some Orthopods I know.
