Dr. Shital Rahul Patel, MD

Dr Patel is brusque, impatient and contradictory. She tells you one thing about your condition and the next time says something else. If my husband wasn’t with me and heard her, I’d think I misunderstood. She cost me a serious mistake in a decision about options for my surgery. I now have to live with it. Get a different doctor.

Every time I go I have to wait at least 45 minutes. That is beyond crazy! Not nice staff at all!

I have been seeing Dr. Patel for about 16 yrs now and my A1C’s, specific tests and personal life are always discussed and amended as necessary. My comfort level is high. The wait can be more than an hour to see her. Anne, the Hematologist, is painless!!!

Dr Patel does not listen to her patients. She will talk over you and down to you. She told me the tumor on my adrenal gland was an adenoma and to get over it. The tumor was actually a very rare adrenaline secreting tumor called a Pheochromocytoma. If you would have listened to her I would not be alive today. Please find another Endo.

Dr. Patel has been very helpful and caring since I met her. She has recently helped me get through a thyroid biopsy that I was not feeling good about. She took her time with me and cares about all my concerns and I feel she is going to take good care of me. I would recomend Dr. Patel to all. Her team is very sweet to me as well! Thank you guys! Dr. Patel has a HUGE ego, arrogant, talks over you, constantly interrupts, could care less about you or your condition, doesn't look at you, walked out without even saying goodbye/have a nice day/anything! Worst bedside manner ever. Always very late - 1 hr first time, 50 mins 2nd time. When I questioned her about it, she became VERY indignant and told me "sh_t happens" and "that's the way I work - i've been doing this for 24 years". Told her it was very unfair to her patients. She said if I didn't like it, I could see a junior doctor. Horrible doctor!! Would ask me a question and then cut me off while I was answering and never look at me. I wouldn't recommend her to my worst enemy!

I liked her my first few visits, but last few visits she acts impatient, accused me if cutting her off several times when, truly, she was cutting me off and not listening to my concerns or questions. She seems harried all the time, and appears to cares only about blood tests and does not ask/care how you feel. Disappointed.

Looking for new endo after going to her about 2 yrs. I have hasimotos and chronic fatigue and many other issues. She goes strictly by blood results so if they look halfway decent too bad. Last time i was there she said I cant do anything elise for you. She has to feel like she's in charge...in her mind she's never wrong.

O-M-G I HAVE NEVER SEEN A DOCTOR LIKE THIS BEFORE! I WOULD NEVER WASTE MY TIME AND SEE THIS DOCTOR AGAIN. NO MANNERS & NO PERSONALITY.
