Dr. Shiv Desai, MD

Shiv Desai, MD, MBA, joined our radiation oncology team from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine’s Montefiore Medical Center in New York, where he served as Chief Resident in radiation oncology. Prior to that, he simultaneously earned his medical degree and MBA through a combined five-year program at the University of Miami, and completed a surgical internship at the University of Hawaii’s Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu. He is actively involved in clinical research and health policy advocacy, and is trained in a wide array of radiation therapy techniques including intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT),stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT), stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), intraoperative radiation therapy (IORT), 3D conformal radiotherapy (3DCRT), low-dose rate prostate brachytherapy, high-dose rate gynecologic brachytherapy, and more.
