Dr. Shiv H. Patel, MD

Dr. Shiv Patel is board certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and fellowship trained in Pain Medicine serving our Longview location. Dr. Patel earned a degree in Human Physiology at Boston University before completing his medical education at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. Then, he completed his residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at Baylor College of Medicine. He joins us now after completing his Pain Medicine Fellowship at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York.With a focus on patient-oriented care, Dr. Patel was recognized early for his work with patients and inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society while still in medical school. Dr. Patel places a large emphasis on the quality of life of his patients using a multidisciplinary approach to the management of pain. He believes no two patients are the same and each patient requires a personalized treatment plan.Though a native of New Jersey, Dr. Patel and his …wife fell in love with Texas during their time in Houston and could not imagine settling down anywhere outside of Texas. In his free time he enjoys traveling, biking, and movies.
