It has been 1 years since I had UAE by Dr. Bhatia at the University of Miami . I came to him after I was diagnosed with large fibroids and low Hb.My GYN denies the existence of such an amazing procedure performed at her own institution. I am very pleased with my experience at The University of Miami and specially with Dr.Bhatia and Arais Cavada(ARNP) They made a huge difference. This time was a world away from previous experiences . It was good to be treated with professionalism and care. I appreciated their follow-up and willingness to answer questions also. A big thank you to all of them.

It is a year now since Dr. Bhatia performed the PAE procedure for me, it has been a total success, I would recommend Dr. Bhatia and this procedure without hesitation. PSA went from 6 at one point to 1.3, LUTS are basically non existent now, where before I was miserable and uncomfortable. Dr. Bhatia is outstanding, he takes time to explain and follow up if needed. Initial condition: after two TURP prostate operations I still had an enlarged prostate causing restriction on the urethra and therefore difficult urination. Then developed a constant bleeding (hematuria) that forced me to be admitted in the hospital several times. Then, met Dr. Bhatia and had a PAE operation(prostate artery embolization) performed by him. The results have been amazing !! The bleeding stopped immediately after the operation and gradually the urine stream became stronger and larger in size. It's been about 4 months since the operation and I am so grateful to Dr. Bhatia for improving my life in such dramatic way. Just had an MRI of my prostate and it went from 160gr before the PAE to 100gr now. It is no longer compressing the urine canal and so the urine now flows freely. I recommend this operation to anybody with like symptoms. Had PAE procedure about a year ago for enlarged prostate, noticed a significant reduction in symptoms after about one month. No side effects! Highly recommend.

I was a patient of Dr. Bhatia's for a prostate procedure called embolization. The procedure took about 1-1/2 hours plus 1-1/2 hours for prep and recovery (total of 3 hours). The procedure went well, and I was cured after 4 weeks with a significant decrease in the size of the prostate and I was able to urinate consistently with no problems. Dr. Bhatia's work was excellent, and based on my own experience, I consider this new procedure a miracle for those that have an enlarged prostate. I could have left the hospital the same day that the procedure was performed, but decided to stay one night to be conservative. It is now 5-1/2 months after the procedure with no side effects and things are going very well. Congratulations to Dr. Bhatia and your team. I thank you with all my heart. Dr Bathia has a great personality, very close with their patients, very understandable. He gets involve up to the minimum detail. He gives the patient a lot of confidence and make him feel well take care of.

I've had two procedures with Dr. Bhatia since 2009. I must say the compassion he shows, is not commonly seen these days. I was counselled about the procedure and he spent good amount of time understanding my questions and explaining them. I like the fact that I was given appropriate analgesia. The procedure went smooth and I didnt experience any pain. I will recommend him to my friends and family.
