Shobashalini Chokkalingam, MD

Shobashalini Chokkalingam, MD, is a board-certified noninvasive cardiologist with over 20 years of clinical experience. She earned her medical degree from Madras Medical College in Chennai, India, and completed a cardiovascular fellowship at Loma Linda University Medical Center in Loma Linda, California after completing an Internal Medicine Residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. Dr. Chokkalingam most recently practiced at Piedmont Augusta Hospital in Augusta Georgia, where she provided inpatient and outpatient cardiology care with Imaging including 2D echo, TEE, nuclear stress testing, coronary CTA and Holter monitoring. Her previous roles include Cardiology positions in Illinois at Mercy Health, Carle Foundation Hospital, Prairie Cardiovascular. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Chokkalingam is actively involved in public education and outreach, including TV and radio appearances on Women’s Heart health and hosting cardiac wellness events within the Indian American …community.
